Que pasa? Sorry, hadn't heard about his jail time or how he 'broke out.' Last I heard, Kodi was still playing overseas for something like 'Atletico Echague Parana' of the Liga Nacional de Básquet.

Exodus is pretty much all I use it for. I've played around with some other apps but have never gotten any of the live streams to work worth anything. Exodus is the bees knees, though.

ETA: If you're into wrestling, the WWE network is pretty tough to beat. You get all the PPV for $10/month, there are also network exclusive shows and such. I'm not into it but it seems like a great deal. Wish UFC would do the same.

So if I'm looking on Ebay for one of these

Does it matter which one? Just get a fire stick with Kodi? Then you just add on all this other stuff?

Looks like they are all about $85.

Dude, save yourself some dough. Go to Best Buy or Wal-Mart and grab one for $35 and watch a YouTube video on how to install Kodi.

Order it off Amazon then google "adding Kodi to Firestick" or "jailbreaking Firestick with Kodi". All kind of YouTube videos on it. I'm on my phone or I would link the one I used. Save yourself about $50.

Spinz TV is a good one. It has all the content from all the add-ons that you mentioned and much more. It's kind of a one stop shop.

I didn't have to jailbreak Kodi on mine. Just downloaded the app. Best thing to do is just add the different add-ons and go through them to see if you like them or not. Then just delete the ones you don't like. I like it because you can get some of the football games that you may not get on your tv package. Pac-12 network is one. I haven't looked for any baseball yet, but I bet there is some on there. And if you don't have NFL Sunday ticket you can get games that your package doesn't include.

Download USTV-Now and you can get your networks. I'm playing around with the idea of cutting the cord and using PS Vue along with Kodi and Amazon Prime and getting everything I need for just the price of PS Vue and the one time $100 a year for Prime.

yeah, i'm not very tech savy, but it was easy. once you get Kodi on it, you download the add-ons to what you want to watch.

I have both the 1st gen Fire Stick and 2nd gen with voice control. You don't need Fire TV (the box that sells for $85). They run sales somewhat often on Amazon, but retail is still only $39. The 2nd gen runs much smoother and times out less often on apps that regularly lag on the 1st gen. You'll have to follow some online tutorials for Kodi (look for Kodi Jarvis on Fire Stick) and kodi app Exodus.

Does anyone here use a VPN with their Kodi.

I have one of the streaming boxes from Amazon preloaded with Kodi. I haven't used it much. Right after I got it, someone tried to hack my apple account. Made me wonder if my new streaming device opened the door for the hack. I know a lot of people recommend VPNs for Kodi.

If any of you have used a VPN, which would you recommend?

I've been considering going this same route. My question is can Kodi and all the apps within it completely replace what you would get from PS Vue, Sling, Etc.? Because I've about made up my mind on cord cutting. DTV bill is up to about $140 / month and I'm done doing the "temporary price drop for 2 year contract extension" dance with them. Fire TV or Firestick + Kodi was my first option, but I'd also like a back up because honestly I can see the FCC shutting down the whole Kodi operation very soon because it just seems to good to be true (kinda like Napster, Kazaa, etc). If that happens, I'd like to have a highly functional application like Vue, but if it has some things already that can't be accessed through Kodi then I may just go ahead and do both.

Sidenote, seeing that you are also interested in PS Vue, I have read that navigating the channel line-up is FAR more user friendly on the Fire TV than the Firestick. But, you have to pay $40-$50 more (just one time though). Kodi is accessible on both. Just something to consider.

IPVANISH is the one usually recommended to use with Kodi. I don't have it yet, but I've finally decided that it's the one I want so I'll be getting it sometime in the next couple of weeks. I'd feel better having that extra layer of security.

forgot to add: if you do IPVANISH, look at the bottom of the home screen under the Pricing column. There's a coupon option that will usually save you some money.
