son played baseball game vs Allen HS, the same Allen HS team that has tHe 60m 18k seat HS football field. Well, we pull up and they have 2 full size baseball fields and 2 softball fields. All 4 fields full turf and multiple hitting cages, it was damn impressive. We won 8-2 though so that was good!!

Were the base paths dirt at least? So weird seeing baseball played on turf. There's a complex in Omaha where the entire fields are turf. Nothings says baseball like the smell of hot rubber.

My brother lives in Allen - I went to the Allen-McKinney game this year and hated it-it feels like a college stadium/game and not high school at all. That being said they are a beast program (won both football and basketball state championships) in the largest classification of Texas.

You combine turf with rain and you get some really interesting slides into bases! Although, speaking from experience, dirt infields combined with Nebraska spring winds and you can come away from a game looking like an Iraqi tank commander. A little dusty.
