I never understand why 5 star QBs choose schools with other successful 5 star QBs. Go to a slightly worse school with a senior QB, learn for a year and take over.

Does the SEC have the same transfer rules as the B10? Usually SEC guys stay in the SEC

He was a PSU commit who decommitted because he wanted to be close to home. Georgia Tech in driver's seat?

Most of us would literally kill to get a transfer like this. Ash should be checking in on this kid and other "free agents" day and night until he lands one.

He’s going to either PSU, Oregon, or Georgia Tech
Interesting since absolutely nobody else is staying this. Most believe FSU, Bama, and Oklahoma are likely destinations. MIssissippi state being a dark horse with old PSU connections. OSU also makes sense if they aren’t sold on the QB1 kid from Vegas.

Fields was the 3rd 5-star QB who committed to Georgia in a 3-year time period.
Jacob Eason, who transferred to Washington 2 years ago and will likely be a 2year starter for the Huskies starting this year.
Jake Fromm, who is the current QB
Justin Fields, who is now transferring and will have 3 years after redshirting in 2019 OR he can play this season in JUCO and have three years to play two in FBS.

I do not believe so. Even if they do, he has a way around it if he wants to play in JUCO next year. It would be interesting if he transfers to Georgia Tech.

Lets see the Bulldogs recruit Eason, Fromm and Fields. Now that is recruiting

Pete Fiutak of College Football News listed Penn State, Ohio State, Florida State, and Oregon in his top four.
ESPN reported sources told them he would consider Florida State, Ohio State, and Oklahoma.

Why would any kid consider RU when the QB position is already locked up? The SITuation is just not right.

What are the rules on why kids get to play immediately?
There has to be some kind of hardship to get a waiver. It is used to be difficult, but it seems the NCAA is making it easier and easier.

I was listening to the radio this morning where it was explained how Fields will get an immediate waiver if he wants it. Evidently there was a scandal where a UGA scholarship baseball player was caught yelling on camera to "Put the ****** in!" (meaning Fields, and I will leave you to guess the word he used). The baseball player was kicked off the team, but on the radio they felt if Fields said he needed to transfer because he was uncomfortable staying at UGA nobody would stop him.

I agree that it will be Oklahoma as long as their coach stays because look at what he has done with two consecutive QB transfers.
