Activity not specifically related to us but not all transfers are based on NIL.
P-5 level Portal transfers, sought after with options will entertain money offers.
No serious competition for services, no money I agree.

Jordan Addison Caleb Williams and names like that yup but not every Tom Dick and Harry and definitely you can find contributors among the ones that don’t command the big deals. Playing time and fit also matter. Anyhow this isn’t meant to debate that as much as to see the activity going on out there.

That’s the one where #27 and #71 require the necessary amount of cash deposited into their accounts to stay here.
Richie has it at substantial numbers.
If they want stay fine and if they feel leaving is better fine too. Find a way to make things work with whatever you have.
At this point, subject to change based on future event, there are much greater needs.

Keeping them is so important. 71 is one of the best DEs to play here at Rutgers. Critical we keep him.
It sounds like it's up to him. He wants to chase money, he doesn't really want to be here.

B1G competition will be out of our realm with the NIL money available.
We should however find a way to keep Lewis, Brown, and Walker for next season.
You'll get the gamut. Some won't look for money, some will look for money, some will look for playing time, some will look for a combination of these things, some will test the portal and leave and some will test the portal and come back. Every situation is different.

Lovett, a four-star prospect out of East St. Louis, Ill., had 56 catches for 846 yards and three touchdowns this season. He was third in the Southeastern Conference in receptions and sixth in receiving yards.
Lovett chose Missouri out of high school with other offers coming from Arizona State, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa State, LSU, Louisville, Mississippi State, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue and West Virginia, among others.

Maybe we could be like Cleveland or Tampa Bay instead of the Pirates.
I think there needs to be more transparency regarding these collectives. If its all legal why not require reporting on this?
Didn’t the Indiana HC say that their team NIL was currently 150K? I assume that is for the whole team per year.
Obviously he feels that’s a drop in the bucket for what he thinks he needs to compete in the B1G.

Also, if schools are gonna match offers from other schools to keep their players, how many other players on our team or any team in a similar dilemma are gonna look to get some of that dinero ?
Sounds like we'll soon have a payroll matching that of the Pirates or Rays......or some of the other PROFESSIONAL teams.
I appreciate you putting in this work. Transfer portal certainly adds some excitement to the offseason. I do not look forward to this thread turning into 30 pages of people complaining, threatening to quit watching college football, and then showing up in game threads in September.
Don't you think transparency can lead to teams trying to gain an edge...much like coaches being coy with injured lists?
Opposing boosters can see what a team is paying some kid...and then offering 5-10% more that what they are getting to get them to switch.
I really wish NCAA could limit NIL...just like the scholarship limits so that teams cannot be the Yankees, Red Sox, etc

I think it's just good for people to know what's going on out there on the CFB landscape beyond the RU bubble...news/notes/interesting stuff/funny stuff etc...
Don't we receive tens of millions more per year in media revenue than nearly every other school in the country?
Aside from the SEC and other Big Ten schools?
We're nowhere close to the Pirates.
This notion that we are "strapped for cash" doesn't really make sense.
