I believe he was adamant in telling Familia to just through high sinkers and don’t worry if they hit it hard and Noah to stop worrying about speed AND control, it’s overrated...
Okay, maybe they deserved to be fired! :)
Looking for the hitting coach to be canned for telling Cano to slow his bat speed and not to bother running out balls that bounce off the plate.

Regan had been the Syracuse pitching coach. If he's got the stamina for that job, he's got the stamina for this one. If anything, the travel is easier.

For those keeping track for some reason, Zamora sent back down to make room for Lockett. Also, Santiago declined assignment to Syracuse and opted for free agency. We will all miss him, but must move on.

It was so comical, the rookie Cubs pitcher copied it. Cano did not look amused. Oh, and he grounded out to second--big surprise. 3 out of 4 at bats are ground outs, one being a double play.

My observation now is that firing the pitching coaches does not necessarily improve the pitching staff.
An 82 year old Regan trotting off the pitcher's mound showed after a visit showed more life than the young Mets pitching staff. Can the Mets put Regan in the pen?

I read somewhere recently that the Mets were floating the idea of moving Conforto to CF, McNeil to right and using Dom Smith and Davis in a defacto platoon in left. They need to do it although it would lessen the OF defense. Smith needs more playing opportunities. He got it and was thriving when both Cano and McNeil were out, but now it's just the occasional at bat.

82 years old. Was 14 and 1 in Koufax last year .Won most games coming out of the pen for Sandy and Big Don Drysdale. And kept the 69Cubs in the race until the Mets blew past At times unhittable with a super funky motion.Mets are shot.

82 year old pitching coach. Have him coach a bunch of 25 year old kids who mostly don’t speak English. Does the vulture even own a smartphone or know what one is. Another Mets disaster.
