How much longer are fans supposed to wait until d’Arnoud becomes a legitimate major league catcher?

The HR derby had nothing to do with his bad NLCS. You should blame Heilman, Wagner & Trachsel just as much. Wright hit .333 in the NLDS, it didn't effect him there. How about Sept/Oct when he hit .371?

Wright was an immediate shell of himself after the derby. That nlcs performance soured me on him forever.

Haven't heard from you in a while,oh wait,Yankees win a couple and you come out of hiding. How typical of one of the 3 Amigos, lol.
As a Mets fan I don't think twice about visiting the Yankee thread. It doesn't matter what happens to them because they are not my team. I don't understand why they need to visit this thread and talk sh*t? Must like confrontations.

Yes. It is entirely coincidence. Are you suggesting that the absence of Tomas Nido left a void which d'Arnaud could not fill?
Tomas Nido should never see Queens again. But why has Darnaud have gotten chance after chance when all he does is go 0-4 with 3 strikeouts almost every game? Even I have a better chance to throw out a base runner than he can... and im a pathetic phat phuk.

You can thank the poster you responded to for bringing the Yankee fans into this thread. He likes to troll other threads to get the interaction here.

Mets.....11-10
Yankees 11-10
Wait until we get healthy.
Yo, kbee- why don't I see you in your Yankee threads repeating 100 times how pathetic your schedule is? I get that the Yanks have crazy injury but maybe that is why your AAA team is keeping afloat. So far, Yanks are 0-3 against winning teams.

If the Mets had 13 guys on the DL when they were playing that cream puff schedule, I wouldn't have been so quick to point it out. Besides, I would have pointed it out to Yankees fans if they had gotten a boner over a string of early season wins over weak sisters. I don't feel the same about playing .500 vs. a string of mediocre clubs while half the team is on the DL.
And it wasn't 100 times. You guys are just sooooo sensitive.

Mets starting pitchers averaging less than five innings per start. (4.94 to be exact.) For a team with shaky middle relief, that is seriously no bueno.

Pitching has been horrible this year - haven’t had any joy since that deGrom Miami start. Basically assuming they will give up 7 runs a game at this point.

Don't be surprised if Gio Gonzalez starts for the Mets next week. He has the right to opt out of his Yankees contract tomorrow and is expected to do so. If he does, the Yankees have 48 hours to promote him, else he becomes a free agent. Gio was scheduled to start tonight for Scranton and the Mets sent a scout, unfortunately the game was rained out.
Gio Gonzalez did opt out on Saturday, and the Yankees declined to promote him. So he is once again a free agent. He has not been impressive in AAA, but that could be attributed to having no spring training. We shall see what if anything the Mets do.

He stunk his first game but was spectacular the other 2. I wouldn't look into that too much.

Agree completely. It is frustrating knowing that Kimbral and Keuchel are out there to give us bull pen help as well as starting help and we cannot seem to accept that we need pitching help.

Kimbral with Diaz and Wilson would make a formidable lineup for innings 7, 8 and 9 with JFams spotted in. Keuchel could replace Vargas who should be in long releif as he is only a 4 inning guy now anyhow. Coupons being the Coupons will not spend even though we are supposed to be "all in" this year. The division is there for the taking by whoever can strengthen their pitching as the 4 contenders all have holes.

The problem is that Kimbral is holding out for a closer position...that takes him out of the picture for us. Keuchel- maybe more realistic. Gio is the other option
