Surprised Hoskins did not make it.
What is your objective view on Harper's performance so far?
I was a little surprised Hoskins didn't make it, but there seem to be a lot of NL first basemen doing well this year. Harper is a definite upgrade for the Phillies over Nick Williams and Aaron Altherr at both the plate and on defense, but that's not saying much. He's good, but a superstar? I don't think so, yet he's making superstar money.
And the Mets win!!!
Wilmer Font and Diaz come through. McNeil and Alonso, as usual. Need 4 more of them and a bullpen, and the Mets will contend.

Was busy this weekend and didn't hear about it until today's Dan Patrick Show. Unreal how that club can F so many things up. Seriously how do you put not 1 but 2 players on the remembrance video? How does their names make the list??
For those who like to track the progress of highly touted Mets prospects, #1 pick Brett Baty got his first promotion (GCL Mets to Kingsport) after only five games! Only six more promotions to Citi Field. At this pace, it should happen early next month. [winking]

So if Washington or Washington State played RU and they lost on our field, would you say victory doesn’t count because of “Jet Lag”? You’d take the win and move on. Again no reason to compare records. No Met fan in their right mind thinks this team is any good. Just good enough to beat the Yanks.

Listen, even the best MLB teams are gonna lose two months worth of games during the course of a season. Sure it sucks losing to the jv team, but I like this Yankees team. Hopefully, German is back to pitching well tomorrow.....and the bats wake up.
Conforto doesn't suck, he's just not quite as good as people thought he'd be. On pace for 30 hrs and an .840 OPS, that's still pretty good.
