Im watching a special on it. Anyone know why the bleacher seat sections behind the outfield walls at angel stadium were completely empty?

Guessing there was an issue with visibility / providing a clean backdrop for the hitters.

I lived in OC for 50 years...and was at the 1986 Playoff vs Boston (Clemens pitched). He was overpowering, and a monster...but somehow (including Brian Downing getting hit by a pitch) the Angels clawed and fought back to take a lead in the series...that would ultimately come down 2 out bottom of the 9th with 1 strike to go...and Donnie Moore giving up the HR that led to a defeat and return to Boston.

Moore committed suicide several years later.

I remember leaving Angel Stadium with the crowd circa 11 pm ....and the horns were blasting out a victory celebration....prematurely.
