I'm not a true Jersey boy at all, but here are the things I thought of while watching that (yeah, I took notes):

- Blue laws, jug handles (only because there's no way to know in advance whether a turn will be a regular left or a jug handle, hence, don't know which lane to be in) and no self-serve gas were hard for me to get used to.
- The "Jersey diner" thing is overdone; there are diners everywhere.
- I say "Go to the beach" rather than "shore," but we all know why that is.
- Funny that they showed the Schuykill rather than the Delaware when talking about the NJ-PA border.

And last but not least: I stick up for New Jersey ALL THE TIME!

I had been in Missouri for a week when after mentioning i was from NJ, a guy asked me if I was ever in a knife fight. He obviously thought the metro area was like West Side Story.

The townships of Bordentown/Florence have always seemed out of place compared to we're they're located in Burlco. Looking at the map south jersey takes up half of the state and that doesn't make sense....

The counties were chopped up so Gloucester was originally like that as well going from the Delaware river to the Atlantic Ocean. They then carved out Camden and Atlantic out of it.

Burlington also included some of present day Mercer county. Mercer was really carved out of Burlington, Monmouth, Hunterdon, and even Middlesex. Monmouth county originally included all of Ocean County and so on.

Historically, Camden and Atlantic counties were carved out from Gloucester county’s original borders. Cumberland was also carved out from the original Salem county’s borders. Mercer was also a carve out from its neighbors. I’m sure there are other examples.

btw- More Rutgers related… Piscataway Township originally included all of what is now Edison Township and Highland Park borough.
