Every other player who sat out a year should sue the NCAA. What a joke.

He has absolutely no case and should have sat out the year just as Jacob Eason did. Former UGA Qb who transferred to Washington

Yes, regardless, because this promises to become a free-for-all, where anyone can transfer anywhere with no penalty. How long will it be until there's a shady recruiting underside to this?
You are correct Spanky. I am sure the shady underside is already there, just hasn't surfaced yet.

But that said, I do think this increased freedom of movement is in the best interest of the players. Which has to count for something.

Make a claim that you were ( name anything) and be granted a waiver because the school you're leaving don't protect it's students and you can't bear to be there anymore.
Especially as a back-up.

Waiver granted, applaud that school as being a place that you know your sister will enjoy and thank the school for being a positive part of your life.

The NCAA should stop the so called waiver being needed and just let transfers play without having to sit.
They allowed it to become a joke and now anyone who wants to transfer because of wanting playing time can say he/she was called a name and/or received dirty looks

NCAA has basically stopped enforcing the 1 year sit out rule for transfers, and should probably just eliminate the rule because everyone gets a hardship waiver. You get a hardship waiver! You get a hardship waiver! You get a hardship waiver!

Our transfers are also getting immediate eligibility. Alaimo will be eligible. Quit being a drama queen. It’s the same for every school.

If our transfers-in are granted immediate eligibility, will you be equally indignant?
Players should have to sit out a year, when a coach levels he is immediately elinle to coach, so the players should be immediately eligible to play.

we should stop recruiting HS players unless they are 4 or 5*. Fill the rest of the class with transfers for immediate eligibility. Much better strategy than our current strategy of filling classes with 2* that may not pan out. If the 2* does not pan out then we are stuck for 4 years.

This topic comes up every few months. I don’t understand why people care. Is it free agency — sure. But, so what. Spots get filled and teams play. We root for the uniform.

Maybe do some research before you post stupidity. I can name you a dozen players in just the last 2 years who were forced to sit out a year.

The point is why does the NCAA allow certain players to play immediately while others wait? There is no logic behind their rulings.

With the new RS rules, we will most likely see a lot more top HS kids play 4 games and then claim a RS. So- why not just make the rule, you can transfer without sitting a year but you forfeit your RS.

On the contrary my friend.Insiders know that he was sick. Had a severe case of Frommitis, which threatened him and his well being and caused much mental distress. The ncaa criteria for hardship transfers are Health, safety and well being of the player. These criteria fit Fields like a glove. The RU transferees are Healthy as horses and will have to wait in the stable for a year.

Cause an idiot on the UGA Baseball Team makes a comment during a UGA Football game in the stands among 75K people - which was heard by a SJW who reports it to the Administration.

This guy can now transfer without sitting out a year - who had no clue what happened until brought to the presses attention. I think he said put the black kid in or the N word - or put the Black QB in. Forget what he said.
.
True Free Agency is now in NCAA Football - get out your check books out.

Eason may have had more of a hardship case if he wanted it. Fields grew up in Kennesaw, Georgia and transferred to Ohio while Eason transferred back home to Washington state. The reason Eason may have not applied was because Browning was in his final season and a returning 3-year starter. May as well take a redshirt and then start the next three.

The NCAA has been handing waivers out like they were candy on Halloween.

That is total BS then. Can’t imagine their cases are more compelling to justify transfer or faster consideration.
