He's not in the rotation currently. Was he injured or is not playing in the Exhibition game the sign that he's not going to be in the rotation at all?
He's not in the rotation currently.
Didn’t we use Luke against Purdue last year due to foul trouble and injuries? Maybe I’m thinking of another game. The new version of “think Luke Nathan can give us 10 minutes a game?”
That is the NBANot sure why people keep expecting HC Pike to have a 14 man rotation with every player getting 15mpg.
I think they tried me at center in that gameDidn’t we use Luke against Purdue last year due to foul trouble and injuries? Maybe I’m thinking of another game.
I remember you doing well in that game.I think they tried me at center in that game
Everyone was in foul trouble in the 1st halfI remember you doing well in that game.
He literally played one minute and got two personals. 6 minutes vs Central CT was his high on the year - the only game he recorded any stats other than fouls.Didn’t we use Luke against Purdue last year due to foul trouble and injuries? Maybe I’m thinking of another game.
Okay. One thing is for certain - we use or overuse the word “literally” on this board more than Luke was used.He literally played one minute and got two personals. 6 minutes vs Central CT was his high on the year - the only game he recorded any stats other than fouls.
I’m no insider but every time I see him up close he’s quick with a big genuine smile and seems like a positive young man. I certainly wish him well and I’m glad he’s stuck around.By all accounts he's a good kid, a good teammate and a good student. I wish him well whether he plays less than a minute a game or twenty.
Yep literallyOkay. One thing is for certain - we use or overuse the word “literally” on this board more than Luke was used.![]()
But he played exactly one minute - I used it correctly. Just like Pike is using Oskar correctly.Okay. One thing is for certain - we use or overuse the word “literally” on this board more than Luke was used.![]()
A player at the end of an NBA bench is much more likely to contribute than a player at the end of a college bench. That is the NBA

He shot 45.5% from 3 last yearThere really isn't a role for Oskar on this team. His claim to fame coming in was that he was a sharpshooter from 3. Not so. So aside from throwing a few fouls on an opposing big guy, there's not a role on the team that he is not the third option for. He can take Nathan's role as head bench cheerleader.
Agree with others - he seems like an upbeat guy and great teammate.
You need players like Oskar for that reason. Not everyone is going to be in the rotation so having true unselfish positive players at the end of the bench is really all you can ask forI’m no insider but every time I see him up close he’s quick with a big genuine smile and seems like a positive young man. When was Doucoure the savior? He was a starter who slowly got demoted down the pecking orderIt wouldn't be the RU bball message board without the yearly "find the savior at the end of the bench" thread. Doucoure, Nathan, now Oskar.
Oh please, for 2 years after his demotion there were guys on here clamoring for Duke to get more PT.You need players like Oskar for that reason. Not everyone is going to be in the rotation so having true unselfish positive players at the end of the bench is really all you can ask for

Didn’t need the word. Less is more, more or less. But he played exactly one minute - I used it correctly. Just like Pike is using Oskar correctly.
Actually, if I had omitted it, “one minute” wouldDidn’t need the word. Less is more, more or less.
Guess who was out of the rotation early last year?
Dean Reiber
The not B1G player (some said) became the fan favorite to start at the 4 this year.
You read into that. I was just asking a question. I wasn't arguing the point one way or the other. Not sure how I made it "sound like he played significant minutes." Truth is that you came into the thread with a red *** about bench players.Actually, if I had omitted it, “one minute” would
have sounded like hyperbole. You made it sound like he played significant minutes vs Purdue - and you would be incorrect. If you prefer we just grunt at each other like caveman, we can do that too.
His time last season was pretty tied to foul issues for Cliff. It was not the case that his time increased as the season went along.Guess who was out of the rotation early last year?

Clearly you’re misinterpreting as well if you think I was in any way riled up. I mean I LITERALLY made a joke about how this is the new Nathan scenario. (Hope your *** isn’t too red about someone using that word). Think I’m good with this thread! On to Columbia. You read into that. I was just asking a question. I wasn't arguing the point one way or the other. Not sure how I made it "sound like he played significant minutes." Truth is that you came into the thread with a red *** about bench players.
We could find a stat to support anything, but 7 of 17 from the field 5 of 11 from three and 3 of 6 from the line for the season isn't going to get it done.He shot 45.5% from 3 last year
Small sample size, hard to judge. We could find a stat to support anything, but 7 of 17 from the field 5 of 11 from three and 3 of 6 from the line for the season isn't going to get it done.
