ORU game thread

26% from 3 this season from ORU and they’re 6-9 so far.
They should be up by 20 now to have a shot. Playing out of their minds.
I mentioned in another thread this oru game at oru check the stats we can’t win very often this is there final 4 game we should cancel the series it’s only good for oru it ruins our season every year if you can’t beat oru you shouldn’t be playing d1 I hope I’m totally wrong but it we will see how this ends. It’s like if Tulsa football beats you fire the coach before his next game see osu that’s how we are perceived after this game
Will we ever have a defense that doesn’t allow 10 wide open threes a game?
ORU has been much more successful recently than we have.
I predicted this last week that ORU would somehow figure out a way to shoot their season best against us as it seems to happen all the time. Outside of the turnovers we’re not playing a bad game. Dominating the boards, shooting very well ourselves.
We will lose again at oru you called it and probably won’t break 500 for the season a win here and it’s a completely different season im the guy who said Tulsa football would not win again after osu if only we could’ve played Charlotte this year lol
This game needs to happen , it’s good for the city of Tulsa , I don’t get why some people think we are too good to play them , we aren’t . We have not been to an NCAA tournament in how many years now ? This was a fun and exciting game , and winning here can now provide a big boost for the season .
Yes we need to play. Who else are we playing? Rogers State?
Great to play if we win but really wrecks a season with a loss look at the stats for the seasons we lose to oru not good with t the only exception when we lost at oru lost to unlv 3 times and went 32 and 5 and lost in the .elite 8 to unc which we were favored to beat our last great team many years ago. Orus league is way below the aac
Took my three kiddos to the game tonight and had a great time! That dunk by Barnstable was unreal. Glad we came away with the win!
The answer to that is simple … win the game
Everybody has games that can “ wreck their season”. You know how you avoid that ? Beat the teams you are supposed to

When has losing to oru wrecked a season? You are assuming we have an net of 50 and one bad loss kept us out of the tourney. This is not the late 90s unfortunately.
Just made me realize how much I hate ORU. Watching on their stupid app. They couldn’t get the game clock or score right consistently. Like on the last ORU possession the let like 3-5 second come off the clock after play stopped. Ironically they ended up screwing themselves over.

Your right Same coach Jerry Tarkanian who coached at Fresno State and Unlv. But we lost to Fresno state 3 times Our greatest team elite 8 could’ve been final 4 with alot of Oklahoma players and the greatest Tulsa ever coach bill self who we got from oru, strange to lose to only 3 teams in a 37 game season.

Yes as a matter of fact I was at the Oru game that year and I will always remember the 32 and 5 year except we lost to Tark with Fresno 3 times not Unlv
I was also at the wac championship game that year against Fresneck as we called them at the time.
