Like I've said before...if we don't fire Konkol (yes i know i defended him early) then it'll show we don't care.Maybe they'll hire Konkol away from us.
You make such grand statements and think they are 100% true. It doesn't show that. President Carson & AD Moore do care no matter what they do with the basketball program.
If they don't can Konkol this year...
It shows that they may have more confidence in Konkol's ability with more money for nil. And/or they want to focus more money and time on the football program right now thinking it will bring more fruits than spending the money changing coaches now. And/or have more time off the buyout deal and time to raise money, while the football team gives them that mileage to raise that money. It will be based on some combination of those reasons if they don't fire Konkol.
You may not agree with their decisions, or the nuanced research that they use to make those decisions, but they don't just not fire him because they don't care. You see the world in such simplistic black & white terms.

What do you expect him to say on the radio? He's not going to say anything negative on the public airways.
If he would have said something like... We will evaluate Konkol and the season after the final game, then I wouldn’t think he's getting another year.

It's AD speak. He's not going to give any indication of his plans over the radio, for a variety of reasons.
But he did give an indication of his plans.
He could have said something else that wouldn't have been an indication of his plans, such as what I said in my previous post.
