Why did Jan sit Deal for the last 6 minutes? Hot hand and she benched her.
And kept Hannah the Bricklayer in there to get fouled and bounce free throws off the back of the rim.
Deal should start over McCabe its obvious
This was a comfortable win that kinda feels like a semi-loss.
one game but if she continues to play like she did tonight yes, she needs more minutes.
Great win against an excellent team. 6-0 and tied for first in the conference. A really good MSU team is next. Gotta hold serve on your home court.

In her defense, Deal hasn't played anywhere near that well before tonight. It could be she hasn't had extended minutes to get in a rhythm, though. But she's played like a freshman a lot.
Ehh the team took their foot off the gas in the final few minutes and one girl from Oregon chucked in a couple of garbage time 3s.
Way more positives coming out of this game than negatives. So I'm not sure how this feels like a loss.

The defense at the end of the game was horrible at best. Kylie was completely out of it, and if she's not back to game shape then put in Stremlow
Yeah. That ain't gonna happen, but their game is very similar and the way McCabe is struggling with her shot (5-20 last 3 games), hopefully Deal takes some of her minutes.
I think this has more to do with coaching.
Deal is the most talented player on this roster. By far. I know a lot of fans will point to CC or Ava.
But Iowas ceiling largely depends on Iowa maximizing Deal’s ceiling. Her size and skill doesn’t exist elsewhere on Iowas roster. Gotta play her and let her go.,
Sorry to criticize but damn Jensen substitute patterns remind me of Fran the Man “white lightning” Fran never left he now wears pants outfits.

That’s her shot. Let’s let her play and be Ava. She’s not going to shoot a turn around jumper there, Layla tried it and got stuffed. Ava’s hook and quickness to the hoop are making her great. Let‘s enjoy it.

Win the games in Carver and people won't complain.
Finishing 2nd in regular season play is very much attainable.
The schedule to date hasn't been terribly tough.
Without looking, they were probably betting favs in every victory.
JJ was always credited with developing post players.
The silly fouls from Ava and Hays continue to be a problem.
