Had to get something off my chest..im tired of old men sitting around in Dad jeans and "im with stupid" t-shirt talking about how bad Oregon uniforms are. First, you clearly care nothing about fashion and wear what your wife lays out for you. 2nd, do you think Oregon uniforms are made to attract 45 year old men in wal-mart sweatpants?lol..the kids LOVE Oregon's uniform, and these ugly uniforms play a huge role in their recruiting. They know their target audience and are maximizing every advantage they have. Top 5 class this year btw... If we could be so lucky to have UGLY uniforms I would be all N for it!

We need more/better alternate unis. The helmets this year were the worst I've seen in a while.

24 of the top 25 in recruiting rankings rarely wear alternate uniforms MAYBE once a year and have made only subtle changes to their uniforms in the past 50 years. And that top team in the nation, both on the field and in recruiting rankings... yeah... they would take Oregon’s cool uniforms, wipe their a$$ with it, hand them back and Oregon would say “thank you” because an Alabama $h!t stain is about as close as they’ve ever come to greatness.

Subtle changes make a difference..24 out of top 25 wear nike uniforms, extremely preferred by kids. Sadly enough it has been so long since skers domiance that these kids werent even ALIVE the last time we were a force. So while we are geting things turned around I wouldnt mind finding every advantage we can.

What a fool Nick Saban is. He’s out there busting *** and winning naty’s every year when all he really needed was an alternate jersey. What a dope.
Can only be one nick saban, everyone else should shut down their programs then.

I like the idea of having designated alternates like OU and OSU.

Nebraska needs to find a few alternates that are slick (key word) and stick with them, 1-3 games a year. A few for home games, a few for away games. The whole new uni every year idea just gives more opportunities to mess it up.

Dont take the Dad jeans comment personal buddy

First of all, Oregon’s been using alt Uniforms/ flashy uniforms since most of us late 30’s early 40’s“dads” were in high school / college. You act like it’s the modern trend that they just came up with and that everyone will be following. I didn’t think it was cool when I was 22 and sure as hell don’t now. Ducks have been doing this since at least the days of Joey Harrington. And even the days of them getting really crazy with it are a “long time ago” to recruits. Let this sink in, recruits today were like 9 years old when Blount punched that Boise state player. And anything that was “modern” or “cool” when I was 9 seemed way outdated when I was 18.

Secondly, Oregon did it as a gimmick, they use to be the bottom of the barrel and had to rely on crap like this. Really hasn’t helped them.

Also, classic never goes out of style. If anything, ducks uniforms are starting to seem dated. As in very 2000’s. That’s the great thing about NU’s, Penn State, Bama’s uniforms, the fact they look old makes them classic. And that never goes out of style. There is a difference between classic and dated. If you don’t understand it, then i have nothing for you

Lastly, Nike’s height was probably the 90s and guess what Mr Cool guy, Nebraska wore Adidas. Didn’t hurt us back then when Adidas was at it lowest. Sure as hell not going to hurt today when Adidas has actually gained a ton of popularity over Nike. TRY Reading. Try looking at the stock market. From GQ to Forbes, ever since Kayne partnerd with Adidas, they’ve actually gained a ton of market share. Why 24 or 25 top 25 teams have Nike contracts? Cause they probably have them dated back to the 90s.

My guess is that you are either really lame, dumb, a troll, or starting to get old and think your still at a cool age

ATM and NU are Adidas schools. ND and Wisky are Under Armor. And just because a school is a Nike school doesn’t mean the have flashy uniforms. Bama’s unit is no different today than it was 50 years ago. Same maroon and white with a single stripe on the helmet with the players number on the side. Same as when Bryant was there.

Nobody has time to read that long *** dissertation. Classic internet nerd, tough guy calling names. When did I say Oregon just started the uniform thing? "Didnt hurt us in the 90s" sure..why dont we crank up the prop 48s and walk on program to win another ship!lol..Its 2018, Oregon has gone from the cellar of football to desirable location for kids by being progressive thinkers, there modern facilities are also big draw for kids. Top 10 recruiting classes. FYI you do know you head coach was part of this and carried the same strategies to UCF? I never said NU should follow Oregon dumb ***, but some subtle changes can go a long way. It not about what you or I like its about what the kids like.

Quite annoying..

as a tired old man who doesn't know what "Dad jeans" are (unless they are maybe Levi's)...you must be sitting right next to me with the arrow on my "I'm with stupid" shirt pointing right at you....no one is allowed to post on here until they reach puberty....come back then.

Nobody has time to read that long *** dissertation.

But you obviously did by your response|

Classic internet nerd, tough guy calling names.

Hmm, does that fall into the same category as 45 year old man wearing wallmart sweatpants?

Its 2018, Oregon has gone from the cellar of football to desirable location for kids by being progressive thinkers, there modern facilities are also big draw for kids.

Oregon in the cellar of college football? How old are you? It’s been over 25 years since one could say that Oregon is the cellar of college football.
And it wasn’t dam uniforms that pulled them out. It was Mike Bellotti

and being a desirable location is also a negative. Look at what happened to Texas, kids didn’t want to focus on football, they wanted to go out to bars. Any why wouldn’t they? Austin is a fun town. Just like Eugene. One of the good things Bama has going for them is tuscaloosa is a ********. No one gets distracted in Tuscaloosa. Tuscaloosa makes Lincoln look like time square on New Years Eve.

And yes Frost may have brought Oregon’s blue print to UCF, but he didn’t to Lincoln. He didn’t have to.

Personally I'm tired of turning on the TV only to not be able to figure out which team is which. Half the time they don't even have the team colors in their uniform let alone a legible logo. I don't really care for the video game like color combos and glitz. If kids are worried more about the uniform than their coaches and education, they're probably not very smart. Now get off my lawn.

Being an old timer, yesterday I thought Mizzou was Okie St and I thought Okie St was Mizzou..

Mizzou sure **** on their tradition when they left for the SEC. They had one of the most iconic uniforms in the 1960- 1999.

All I know is they are ugly as FK, and I'm betting recruits aren't into lime green and tweety bird yellow. I bet recruits would like their black unies much more.

I agree in the fact that kids now days do love alt uniforms. It is not the end all be all. Nebraska has enough history and tradition to make up for any alt uniforms. If a kid strictly picks a school based on uniforms, we probably don't want that kid here anyways.
That being said. I have no problem with alt uniforms. I think Nebraska does need to "get with the times" a bit and do a few more alt uniforms throughout the year. Nothing crazy like Oregon, but do 2 or 3 a year would be fine.
