Orange or red finger nail polish?

Does the UCLA catcher wear fingernail polish? Looked like it to me when she came to the mound.

My only guess is it helps the pitcher see the sign.

Didn't see but often times catchers wear nail polish or tape so the pitcher can read the signals better.
