IQ will do just fine and I think we have plenty of quality on the wings.Any transfers that might consider us now that Hero is gone?
Are you trying to say Herro is the best SG Cal has had at UK, because noZero need for more guards. We have replaced our guys we lost with great additions . Maxey for Herro and Whitney for KJ . Whitney is better then KJ too. Maxey is a better pro prospect then Herro but I ain';t going to say he is better player . Herro is the SG to play at UK under Cal.
I agree Murray was better. Booker would have averaged 20 ppg if used correctly. Are you trying to say Herro is the best SG Cal has had at UK, because no
I'd even take Doron Lamb. Bknight as well if we consider him a SGI agree Murray was better. Booker would have averaged 20 ppg if used correctly.
Herro does have some other great all around qualities that those other guys lack.I'd even take Doron Lamb. Bknight as well if we consider him a SG
Please name what Bknight/Murray/Booker are lacking compared to Herro.Herro does have some other great all around qualities that those other guys lack.
Rebounding and defense (Murray and Booker anyway) for starters. Please name what Bknight/Murray/Booker are lacking compared to Herro.
Well, with Murray, they shoot similarly, Herro is a better rebounder and defender. I think Herro will end up being a better shooter than Booker, he rebounds better and Booker doesn't even play defense, does he? As for Knight, you get most of the same response. Herro is a basketball player, he does most things on the court very well. He makes people around him better. We'll see in a few years I guess. You'll have to keep up with it, I'm not a big NBA fan but I do loosely keep up with UK players. Please name what Bknight/Murray/Booker are lacking compared to Herro.
Lamb was a better shooter, but it stops there.Lamb, Knight, Murray and Monk all better, but I'd round out the top 5 wit hHerro.

FF shooting percentage. Please name what Bknight/Murray/Booker are lacking compared to Herro.
Yeah, but shooting 48% from three covers a multitude of sins.Lamb was a better shooter, but it stops there.
Rebounding and defense (Murray and Booker anyway) for starters.
Herro was better defensively(although no where close to an "elite" defender) but wasn't close to the offensive level of Knight Murray Monk Lamb. All of those guys can create their own shot except lamb. Lamb and herro were about the same at shot creation. Herro has average handles and athleticism. He was a good rebounder this year. but he's probably around the 5th best SG Cal has had at UKWell, with Murray, they shoot similarly, Herro is a better rebounder and defender. Herro made a big what 3 or 4 3's in the NCAAT?FF shooting percentage.
Murray was a pg but he was great too. Monk was pure offense and Herro is a great defender. Lamb was pretty good too but yes IMO Herro was the best. Just an opinion obviously but he has to be in the top 3 I doubt anyone can argue that. I would rank them 1. Herro 2. Murray ( though not really a SG) 3. Lamb. Monk just was too weak at stuff like rebounding , defense ect to put him here. Booker wasn't even a starter . He is a great NBAer but was just good in college. Are you trying to say Herro is the best SG Cal has had at UK, because no
Not sure we need one. Just need a healthy Dontaie Allen, who had more 40-point games as a high school junior than Herro had as a hs senior.Any transfers that might consider us now that Hero is gone?

I 100% agree with you but Tyler was better at rebounding and FT'sPlease name what Bknight/Murray/Booker are lacking compared to Herro.
Forsure I concede that. Herro wasnt on those guys offensive levels though. Herro is an average dribbler and average athlete that depends on others to create opportunities for him to score. Thats why he ran off curl screens to shoot for a lot of his offense and rarely ISO'd himI 100% agree with you but Tyler was better at rebounding and FT's
3/18, over 4 games gets a guy a sports car nowadays! But don’t mind me, I’m just your average, garden variety butthurt fan.Herro was better defensively(although no where close to an "elite" defender) but wasn't close to the offensive level of Knight Murray Monk Lamb. Ppl aren't butthurt about players going pro. Ppl are anxious/upset that we consistently lose our top 4-5 players every year. Intense Roster turnover definitely adds fatigue to the UK fan base. Thats the UK effect though so might as well get used to it. Should be happy we return AH IQ EJ NR JB, usually Cal isn't that fortunate3/18, over 4 games gets a guy a sports car nowadays! I’m good to go RR! “Something” good comes UK’s way soon. I feel it lol!Ppl aren't butthurt about players going pro. Ppl are anxious/upset that we consistently lose our top 4-5 players every year. I was shocked when Lamb missed.I'd even take Doron Lamb. Bknight as well if we consider him a SG

We are loaded at guard position. Have zero need for another player there.

Lamb is the best 3 pt shooter Cal has ever had, and he’s in the top 3 (if not number 1) of UKs all time best shooters.Lamb was a better shooter, but it stops there.
Lamb was a better shooter, but it stops there.
Who said we were talking about the best shooter?Even if I agreed with you that it stops there, we are talking about the best SHOOTING guard. Does it really need to go further than that??
Lamb wasnt just a better shooter, he was automatic, and was better than that in the biggest games. I'd also argue Lamb was a better defender. If Herro was near the defender everybody thought he was, Auburn wouldnt have iso'd him like they did. Sure, he can chase a guy like the Wofford kid around screens and such, but he isn't really a very good defender.
If you are listing the best shooting guard at UK during Cals time, the list begins with Lamb. Next 2 in any particular order is Murray and Monk. I could be convinced to put Herro next, but you would have to convince me. Booker falls way down the list, because at UK, he had 1 outstanding month, and unfortunately, that month was Feb, not March. I'd probably even go with Aaron Harrison over Herro. Went to 2 Final Fours, hit some of the most clutch shots I've seen and was exponentially better on defense.
Let's not forget, Herro only shot 35% from 3, and wasnt even remotely close to good from distance in the NCAA tournament.
Over valuedLamb is the best 3 pt shooter Cal has ever had, and he’s in the top 3 (if not number 1) of UKs all time best shooters.
He was also a better PG when called upon then Herro in terms of ball distribution and setting up the offense.
Worse at rebounding. Defense, pretty even.
He also got to a FF his freshman year and won a championship his sophomore year.
Now it can stop there.
Who said we were talking about the best shooter?
There is more to a shooting guard than shooting, you are a basketball fan, yes?The whole conversation is about SHOOTING guard. I mean it's right there in the position definition.
