It will be steamy in a red Stick on 9/26, but... our first home game in October doesn’t hurt. Especially if we can get a late afternoon, or night game. If they allow 33% attendance, 21,000 will be spread out and thousands will be in the sun, but a late afternoon game first Saturday of October, might be somewhat tolerable.

I don’t know how anyone can even have a logical guess about either team at this point. I would love to know why he arrived at that number.

Friend with "connected sources" in Oxford has been swearing that Battle for the Golden Egg would be on Week 1 schedule.
Probably the same sources who were telling him the NCAA investigation in Oxford was actually not about Ole Miss but rather a "misdirection" to catch State in all sorts of evil deeds and violations.

Wow... I do not think LSU, in week 1, is 24 points better than us. I’d probably put it at about 14.

Gotta play them and I think getting them while they are also still working out new faces is better, like others have pointed out.

I do believe the last time we opened wit LSU though is the Hening 6 interception game (I think it was 6). Bad memories starting the season off with them.

But it’s a good game for them to get us as well, especially with the questions we have in the secondary.
