The University at times has come across as the University of The Philbrook and Utica Square instead of the University of the entire City of Tulsa. The administration more so than the athletic dept imo tended to come across in this manner. It's going to take some time to recreate our image. Seems we are at least trying.

Exactly, which is why the move to the Hut is a good step.

If we're smart we can even turn the temporary cuts to pay into a positive.
The Harley-Davidson employees took a cut for the company and then made the sacrafice a positive about the collective effort to the public. Our coaches just took a hit for the city and their players. They believe the program is worth it and put their money where their mouth is.

The condescending tone is greatly appreciated. I get your point.

The condescending isn't for you or people on this board. We are the success stories of the University connecting through sports as intended.

It's for the inept attitude the school has had towards everyone else. We have the materials to build with, local coaches, athletes, solid facilities, winning teams, etc. A big pile of wood doesn't make a house though, unless someone uses it to build one.

Tulsa finally hired a carpenter, he's put up the frame, we need to let him finish building the house before we declare it a mansion.
