Sadly, this sentiment is not going to end well on this board.
Nope I have already seen bitching being set up for next year if they end up 9-3 and beating bad teams and getting smoked by “semi” good teams. Just resharpening the pitch forks in April. I guess a little off season maintenance. This was an example in read in a basketball thread.

Like the coach is going to adjust his practice schedule around a 20 minute media availability session, just to make sure the special teams get seen. 65 yard sprint by the kicking team. Punt returners are catching balls kicked high.

I mean what’s the benefit of kicking in front of a crowd anyway. Just ask Connor Culp if that matters.

And why would Rhule alter his practices for when people watch to benefit the players? Let’s just run basic drills. I mean someone might steal a player or something. Beta mentality FTW!!!

I hope there is not top secret information getting leaked out in this open practice, other teams will certainly be on to things if coaches are not careful! ;)

I still can't believe they went through with the horrible idea of cancelling the spring game. JUST DO IT AFTER THE PORTAL CLOSES.

No one can give a good reason why that was not the first and only option.

20 minutes the 50-100 media members are there to watch them run drills. Who cares if you get to watch practice? Connor Culp kicked in front of people before. The pressure is the pressure you can either step up or you can't. It isn't like the kick in the 1st home game of the season in front of 85,000 is going to make the kick to win the Iowa game any easier. The pressure to kick a FG in a spring game, with no rush is no where near the pressure of a real game and certainly not the pressure of kicking a game winner in an important game.

I bet Rhule ran basic drills for the 20 minutes of media viewing, then once the media was gone, special teams the rest of the way, just to piss you off.
