Only 1 game so far (Herro)..

Coming into this game, after our 1st 2 games, Herro has been labeled as a defensive "liability". I think he listened to the chatter. And said oh yea, you think I cant play D , watch me.... check how many steals in the last game, watch the intensity he played with on D. Got his confidence back on offense cuz he focused on defense. Defense turns into offense..... Our big problem is Half Court Offense... we need a new offense,,, I belive more up tempo. ...

I would say our biggest problem has been trying to force things in transition. This team has the pieces to be excellent in the half court, and that’s where they should live.

Herro played much better, but let's not get carried away.

The last two opponents haven’t really shot all that well.

One change I saw last night was that we were aggressively trying to trap in halfcourt and force tempo, at least occasionally. Cal even had to yell at Quade once to remind him to trap.

Playing passing lanes well doesn't make you a good defender. It's nice to get steals but his problem is and will always be staying in front of people. When he does that I will be a believer
