I'll keep this thread semi-updated with info on our future opponents.

Tonight our next three are all in action, with Niagara and Drexel facing each other. Meanwhile St. Bonaventure, coming off a disappointing loss to Ohio, faces one of the top low-major teams in the country in Vermont.

There are also some Big Ten games happening:

Illinois at Grand Canyon (GCU lost to a D2 school in their first game)
Iowa vs. SIU-Edwardsville (Should be a romp)
Wisconsin vs. Eastern Illinois
Northwestern vs. Merrimack (Merrimack is new to D1 and lost by 20 to a bad Maine team in their first game)

Nicholls, who took Illinois to OT, is up 9-1 on Pitt right now.

Pitt showing zone on defense. We're gonna have to make jump shots against them.

We should be able to work Pitt on the glass. Need to contain their slashing guards.

Nicholls is shredding them from 3. Getting an open look pretty much every possession and hitting half of them. We need to shoot well against them.

Pitt within 1. Their JUCO guy Ryan Murphy has been their best player.

67-62 Nicholls with 1:25 left. Ryan Murphy is the only reason Pitt is in it. Dude is lethal from 3.

Nebraska (0-2), losses @ home to UC-Riverside 47-66 #248 Pomeroy and S. Utah 78-79 2OT, Pomeroy #194 and Northwestern (0-1) to Merrimack @ home 61-71, Pomeroy #288, are the bottom 2 in the B1G. Mich St and Maryland are the top 2. 3-12 is up for grabs. The gap between high, mid and low majors are closing every year, hence the blow out win 1 vs 16 UMBC over Virginia.

it definitely isnt good for the league overall that Nebby and Northwestern are losing these games...their NET rankings really could be a drag on the conference all year long

Big 10 is down. How many bids does this conference get? Won’t be as much as prior years. Just hope ACC doesn’t kill us especially with northwestern and Nebraska being automatic losses.

Texas-Purdue is one to watch. Purdue was favored by 7 or 8. Currently tied in the 2H.

Everyone assumes Big 10 will always be like last year but that will not always be the case....must start taking care of business and have to win the majority of our challenge games

Big 10 has good coaches that develop players well but always seems to lag in recruiting rankings. I put Purdue, Iowa, Michigan with Beilein, Holtmann in that category of developing players well. At some point, lagging in recruiting rankings catch up with exceptions being Maryland, Michigan State and possibly Indiana.
