We had zero coaches and zero players who would be Wildcats that season.

This year we have a full staff and 9 players already (Oweh, Garrison, Perry, Noah, Chandler, Johnson, Moreno, Lewis and Williams).

Last year, with way less time and no staff, Pope was able to recruit/buy an entire Sweet 16 team....even with us losing our best and most expensive player.

This year we are looking for 3-4 dudes (maybe only 2 honestly), not an entire team. Patience will pay off big time after the NBA workouts.

I'll give you that.. we really dont need much in this transfer portal, 2-3 guys, maybe a 4th.. certainly not as much as we needed a year ago. But I do think we need more than just the "leftovers" of the transfer portal to move past the Sweet16. We either need a lead/explosive guard, a 3-level scorer, a dominant and beefy big man.

I'd argue that we really didn't have an exceptional player at all last year (Maybe Jrob was working his way towards that, and I could argue Oweh was kind of there). We're going to need 1 or 2 next year. Let's hope we can get it.

Yeah getting Yaxel and/or Pierre definitely changes everything. I strongly believe we will end up with an elite PG and elite PF once the dust settles.

Our fans are use to a complete roster overhaul every single year and we aren’t signing guys at a rapid rate like the past 15 years.. lol

Also, most of the negativity is from rival fans that are scared to death of Pope and UK. Thats all.
