Thinking back this year there have been many times it seems like if we had just made one throw or one tackle we would have won the game. Do you think there is one thing Frost could have done differently that would have changed the outcome of the season? Or is there one play that if we just made it it gives us momentum and maybe changes things. Or do you feeling nothing could have drastically changed how the year ended up.

Decent special teams probably wins three games. One bad play in each of those. And to me, special teams is the easiest to fix AND screw up

There are hundreds, but the one that sticks in my mind is Frost’s play calling on the goal line against Purdue. If we punch that in, we go bowling.

But let’s say we do punch that in, I’m sure the defense/special teams would have said “Hold my beer” and would have allowed a TD subsequently.

Special teams would have been like...Great drive guys. It would be a shame if something terrible were to happen to screw this all up.

Could say the same thing defensively against Colorado.

This was one that I was thinking of. I wonder if we win there and use the momentum carry over the next week to beat Wisc, Maryland and Iowa.

Please don’t do this
Do what exactly? There is no ulterior motive, or ill will with this post. Just curious where peoples thoughts are with how close/ far away we are as a team. Me personally I feel we are better and closer to a turn around than some think. I think if less than 5 plays were made we are a 8 win team.

This season could have really gone the other way if we beat Ohio state. And the only way that was happening was thief bus breaking down. So pretty much once their bus made it that was over and we were screwed. So yeah. Next year let’s just hope other teams busses break down and I don’t see us losing

One could look at this the same way, a few plays the other way and we don't do as well in the close games. It is a fruitless what-if game to play.

It wasn't just 1 bad play. We were a bad team and our record shows it. A better team would make more plays throughout the game so that it never had to come down to 1 play. We had several bad plays in each and every game. The 1 bad play thing is a myth.
