I'll never get taking shots at the fanbase. Without it, UK is not UK. Passionate.
Did you see the welcome home at UCONN? Their arena, barely half full one side. That is miserable. We are passionate IMO.

I think for most of us this has been the most excited we’ve been in a few years. We knew what we were getting with Cal at the end. The potential and hope for an elite hire has us anxious and giddy.
I just hope Coach Drew knows how bad Lexington is for earthquakes and natural disasters. No good restaurants. No schools. Just destitute.
I hope he keeps his family happy and stays in Waco. I don’t wish this place on nobody. I’m currently out in the fields picking potatoes by hand so my family can eat tonight. I don’t want to see him unhappy.

Our fanbase on the whole is great, but the extreme part of the fanbase is not. Many of those people don't have two brain cells to rub together.
We would have more than that waiting at the airport when UK's players got home if they just won a title.
Some are miserable not all. Some like myself have been saying the whole time Drew would be a good hire and not acting like he is a terrible coach
Lower than no final fours in 9 years? Lower than no SEC tournament title in 6 years? Lower than no SEC regular season titles in 4 years? Lower than not advancing out of the first weekend of the NCAA tournament in 6 years? Lower than no 1 seeds in 9 years? Exactly how low are our standards going to have to go?

I meant it because we needed to get rid of Cal. If we’re not able to hire the top 3-5 on the list, we’re gonna have to settle. What happens then? We have to deal with it.

Have been my whole life. It’s a double-edged sword. It’s what makes us demand excellence but it’s also what makes good coaching candidates wonder “Is all this money worth it to deal with about a million volunteer assistant coaches?”
I’m not high on Drew, I think there are several names much better than him. Having said that if he is hired I’ll support him. I just hope he can form sentences and teach players these things called set plays and zones and all that trickery stuff these youngsters do now days.Speak for yourself. No they will stay the same, and if the coach can’t live up to expectations, another Billy g scenario will happen until we start winning titles again.
Yeah if we can run in bounds plays, play a zone, play against a 1-3-1 zone and be able to destroy a team that we should destroy it will be an improvement over the last few seasons.

Not everyone, but there’s certainly a very vocal sect of the fan base that have an amazing combination of basketball ignorance and the emotional stability of a 13-year old girl who was just dumped by the love of her life.
Anytime someone insults our fanbase I just assume it comes from a place of ignorance. These are the same type of people that buy into the "Kentucky fans aren't happy unless they win a championship every single year" narrative

Ain’t gonna be that easy anymore. You think any coach is gonna come here without a really good buyout? Kentucky won’t be able to serve up gigantic buyouts every two years to fire a coach. I wish I was wrong but I don’t think I am.
Drew is the best hire, fits in culturally from Ind and great success at Baylor which has never been a BB school. He is my choice all along. Uconn coach does not fit here as he from NE and wouldnt be here long! Drew could be here long term!
