and only one. What's your all-time favorite play by a UK player. I've seen a lot of 'em over the years, but this one keeps rising to the top for me. It's got it all . . . swagger, determination and reflects the pride of this fanbase. He knew the second Randle released it to him where he was going.

i think this one would be very high on everyone's list if it spurred UK to a victory that night.

I REALLY thought that dunk was going to be the catalyst for our comeback.

Damn, I hate UCONN.

Your favorite play ever as a UK fan was in a painful loss? How about Sparks' three to prolong a loss to Michigan State in a regional final? Or Epps' crucial three at the end of regulation in 1997 that made that an OT loss? Each to his own, but I can't even watch plays that happened in an important loss.

As for an all-time favorite winning play, I'll call it a four-way tie among Padgett's shot against Duke, Liggins' shot against UNC, Harrison's two shots against Michigan and Wisconsin.

That's a great list.

For a regular season play, I might get with Wall's dunk vs. UNC. That's the moment I knew we were back.

Just for something different -- a play I recall vividly -- Rex's tomahawk against UofL in '86.

Padgett.

Had we ended up winning the championship in '14 I could maaaaybe make a better case for one of Aaron's heroics. But Scott's 3 was sweet revenge and I knew deep inside that we had just won the championship.

I have an honorable mention though. Ron Mercer had a spinning reverse layup in '97 that was absolutely ridiculous but for the life of me I can't find. Don't know what game it was. If anyone was to find the game, I would gladly give you my daughter in marriage.

It was against St. Joseph's in the Round of 16. Now, what's your daughter look like?

Jorts drilling Sullinger. After that I knew we weren't losing that game and we're finally going back to the Final Four.

A really underrated play from that game was TJ doing a crossover dribble move, the Ohio St defender gets tripped up and falls, and TJ nails a 3. That whole weekend was just awesome.

As someone who will most likely never like a player more than I like Tayshaun Prince, has to be Prince's 3 from the logo against UNC. Coincidentally, my favorite play in NBA history is Prince's block of Reggie Miller's breakaway in the playoffs.

The Patrick Sparks double clutch 3-pointer against Michigan State that bounced around, bounced around, and finally went in to get overtime.

I just watched that video for the first time in a long time. And I was actually nervous!

My stomach is still churning. Seriously.

Ima go with three even though I know that's against the rules:
  • Padgetts 3 against Duke....cause its Duke and we later won the NC
  • Derek Anderson and/or Jeff Sheppards dunk against IU...cause its IU
  • Aaron Harrison's 3 against Michigan...saw it live with my son, place eRUPPted! Hard to forget.
