What value are you bringing to this forum by prognosticating that we lose our remaining games? I’m just curious in your mind what value you think that provides?
Further — what value can you possibly offer after being proven wrong when we win a game?

This was the game imo. Wisky is our chance cause we at least have some confidence in beating them imho.

I’ll give ya that, that is certainly of value. But, this is a zero sum type of game that’s being played here. Why take a stance such as this one when you know how much variability exists in sport and you’ve seen this team all year perform? I’m disheartened by the loss too. It blows. But, the team has won 18 games. You don’t just forget how to do that. Like I’m saying to rutgers56, a team that’s won 18 times can do it 1 more time, even if just by sheer force of will or luck

but I’ve been saying we need a road win to get in weeks ago..to much negativity and mockery here. Now one of the most well respected posters on the basketball forums is saying the same thing I was saying weeks ago. I’d say my opinion was pretty credible weeks ago.

Of course. Who? Yes both Wisky and Purdue are winnable.
I'm not betting against Matt P. In the rematch.
I think Wisky is in a flow.
I think we're in trouble. We are not playing consistently like a team. Too many guys have disappeared and too many are terribly inconsistent.

What type of engagement, exactly, can you even have with other fans at this point? The whole idea with fandom especially in a season such as this one is that there is magic at play. And listen, we may get kicked in the nuts at the end like we tend to do as rutgers grads and fans. But, what ur saying by prognosticating we lose every game left on the sched is the magic is done. Shows over. Pack it in boys and gals. As a fan, you believe the magic is still there until it’s not. And if that takes until the last second ticks off the Purdue game then so be it for me... Good point. Purdue may be far in the pecking order in that time. If RU can’t pull a win in the next 3 they don’t deserve to get in. I think though is the committee wanting to see a quality road win/beat a top MD team or any away from RAC win. Big difference.

It'd be nice if we can get Purdue, Minnesota, Indiana or Wisconsin in our first B1G Tournament game. I'd take our chances against any of those teams on a neutral floor. Getting Michigan or Ohio State in our first game would be unfortunate as I think both of those teams could get rolling again.

Have you watched those teams all year. ? How is it that your incredible quiet after a win , and show up after losses. Do you think Illinois is better than Wisconsin and Purdue? Did you like the game we played the other day, kinda like the Penn State game earlier, kinda like the Iowa game earlier? Why doesn’t it register in your mind that we had halftime leads against Illinois, Iowa, and Maryland on the road, lost the lead and then came back to take a lead or tie with 2plus minutes left, but didn’t finish against all 3 ranked teams at the time with Maryland and Iowa still ranked and Illinois going to be again soon ? Have you seen us get blown out? Have you seen us not come back when we are down on the road? What fact are you citing to say as aRutgers fan that we have no shot. You just have terrible takes after terrible takes and you wonder why other posters are calling you and your buddy Rutgers 56, who only posts after a loss, and never after a win , out

I’ve stated many times we are able to beat “better” teams then us thanks to the way Pikiell coaches and how we outplay/out hustle and play much much harder than almost every team we’ve played this year. I do believe we’re a very similar skill set to PSU.

Sunday is a chance for a road win but our team must play very well and be completely locked in for 40 minutes. We should have a decent shot at winning at Penn State. We have won there in 2017 and in 2019. We definitely need to win one of these two road games.

I was a Kid at the Spectrum in 1976 when Michigan took away the Undefeated Season, and a chance at the National Championship.
In 2004, they denied Rutgers an NIT title

Don't let yourself get bullied. Just because you are taking a realistic view of whats happened so far this year vs. folks throwing every possible reason at you as to WHY Rutgers will win. It doesn't make you (or me) less of a fan. Personally, I've got WAY more notches in my 42 year belt that I'll match up to any of em thinking they are better fans cause they pick RU first all the time.

Can they? Of course. We can beat every team in this league. Will they break thru?
