One bright spot from the USC game

Elias Coke, JJ Conyers, Dyzier Carter, Devonte Anderson, Jermaine Polk, Messiah Tilson, and Joey Kopec.
Not bad.

Gregenstein labels us a developmental program as an excuse, one of many, but the truth is winning teams nowadays retool each year.

For example and in case you forgot, UMass brought in 50 new players, jettisoning many who presumably played and developed last year.

If there is the probable coaching change, difficult to know how many of those freshmen will be on the roster next season. Expect a mass transfer out and in for next season.

Carter is th one I've heard the most good stuff about. And I think the pod guys here have been raving about Houston.
Also, I'm not much for south Jersey football, but I've got buds from down there who swear by Michael Thomas and Sah'nye Degraffenreidt, were surprised that they ended up at Rutgers, and have been telling me since they signed a couple of years ago to expect big things from both of them.
I told them they will probably wind up at Temple in a few years.

Coke seems to look the part.

His development seems ahead of schedule. If he can develop vice grip pass catching hands he’ll be next season’s big-bodied receiver ala KJ Duff.
