In all honesty ... What did you expect him to say?

I agree. By responding so quickly, and then his mother responding, tells me Meyer is completely off. It might be UNLV, but he's pretty adamant that it's not done one way or another.

No one really knows. It could be that the kid and mom are upset that he stole their thunder or it could that Meyer truly knows nothing.
Most of these kids, at least some of them, know where they are going. Yet, they hold out for the drama. Most of these unsigned guys aren't going to Kentucky. Why wait and just consume the attention?

Wow, regardless of where the kid goes, good job, Mom. These guys are utter parasites who do nothing for your kids, yet can't exist without them. They don't coach, they don't counsel, they don't do anything other than pester highschoolers about where they might go to college. It's absurd.

I'm not sure why so many here are getting so upset with Meyer, UNLV has been the favorite for a long time now. Of course things can change, but Meyer is not going that far out on a limb.
Can't really put any stock into what either side says. Players love the drama that comes from making the announcement, so they will shoot down a prediction even if it's spot on. Kinda like the Aaron Harrison "We'll see" tweet before announcing he was leaving the next day.
As far as Jerry Meyer....he picked Caleb Swanigan to Cal a few days before Caleb picked Michigan State. These guys know nothing. I have no connections whatsoever, but I could start a website today predicting where kids are going to go and would probably come pretty close to the accuracy of these "experts". Didn't Meyer also pick Skal to Memphis and Briscoe to St. Johns?

This ^^^ Sort of like the Harrison's dad in response to draft rumors saying its not fair to say that the Twins were leaving for the draft a day before they said they were leaving for the draft. These kids just want to have their moment and all the insiders want to be the first to spoil it...its really weird if you stop and think about it like that for a second.
Wow! so many here really don't understand communication in terms of sending a message and squashing a leak by recruiting guru! By calling Meyers out directly. If it was just a what was he supposed to say? Well that's easy he does what every recruit does every year when Myers and others float so called info they just say "I have not made a decision so I am not sure where anybody's info is coming from" his moms reaction was that of one who seemed angry that someone stressed out her son.
