I've heard some non-specific behind the scene reason for Nestor to pick up and leave.

So you wont post the reasons you have heard but want others to post?
Maybe it was because he couldn't beat out Deshon Lee for the starting job.
phil was really high on nestor a couple seasons ago so he had/has some ability. but he did get severely abused last year in some games

This isn't true. Before I got an ON3/Rivals dual account, I had a Rivals-only account. I cancelled it for a while, then decided to rejoin, so I had to make a new account. When I went with the ON3/Rivals account, I attempted to use my old username, but the system assigned me an ANON account instead. it stayed that way for a week or so until I was finally able to get it fixed. I've read of others who have had the same issue here.
True. He's now a junior at Minny and seems to be improved. I wish he had stuck it out in Iowa, but it's his call.

Head Football Coach John Nestor was an excellent coach and leader of our student-athletes.
While no one is perfect, and yes, he had more to learn about our small town and its ways, we never truly gave him the chance to grow and adapt.
Losing him is a significant loss for our students. He had a genuine connection with the players, visible on the football field and moments like impromptu poetry readings in the Bear Den.
This exemplifies what high school athletics should be — a place where student-athletes can grow both as players and as individuals.
As we begin our search for a new coach, we have an opportunity to reflect on our behavior and do better.
Yelling “we’re going to run you out of town,” late-night harassing texts, threatening letters in his mailbox, and several more incidents were all beneath the standards our community should uphold.
Let’s remember that our next coach will likely have a family who will see everything we post and hear everything we say.
The way some in our community behaved was immature and unfitting of the role models we should be for our student-athletes; they are watching, they saw your behavior.
As we move forward, let’s demonstrate the same sportsmanship and character we expect from our players.
Our next coach deserves a fair chance to lead, grow, and build a positive program, one that is much different from what we have today.
To Coach, Rachele, Jackson and Griffen: You didn’t deserve this, you moved here to take on a job to inspire and lead student-athletes.
You and your family were treated terribly almost from the day you got here.
I’ve never been more ashamed of the community my family and I have called home for the last 10 years.
I will be watching your success, I have no doubt you will be an extremely successful head coach.

Old man Nestor is really going off about the program! He was holding court last week and was predicting, coach/qb less would beat the Hawks. He was almost right. Then was comparing Indiana, how they can compete with good teams, while the Hawks only win ugly home games vs bad teams.
