If we make it to the championship series I've got a hall pass from the little lady and enough days vacation on the books to pull the trigger.

Heading that way in about 6 hours...so I should probably be asleep but it feels like Christmas Eve. Also, this feels like our year!

Flying out of Jackson, connecting in Dallas.

Dang, hate that for you. Where were you flying out of and did they give you a reason for the cancellation?

Hope it still works out for you some way.
They gave no reason for the cancellation, but did offer to fly me to Omaha on Monday!
At least I was able to get a full refund through Expedia.
Mighty bummed out right now, though.

American Airlines is truly awful. I hate that company but often times have no choice but to fly AA anyway. I will go out of my way to fly SWA when I can though. I really liked Continental before they merged with United and dropped significantly in quality.

I wish SWA still flew out of Jackson. They were great.

Won’t ever fly American again, if I can help it.

We just logged 2,700 miles in a week of sightseeing and attending a wedding, but the boss lady is just as big a fan as I am and has said we will do the drive if we make it to the championship series. I was coming off of surgery in 2013 and could not go, so we have had a mad fund put back for this since then.

We had several folks flying into and out of Cincinnati last weekend for the wedding and everyone booked with American had their flights out cancelled Sunday morning.

A couple of years ago my Daughter and her family were flying to Jackson via Austin and Dallas and were canceled once they got to Dallas and stranded there all night till my in-laws drove down from Denton. They kept saying they would get them on a flight only to cancel it right about time to board. My girl hounded them to get their money back and said she wouldn't board an American flight even to escape the apocalypse.

I used to fly American all the time for work, and before 9/11 they were really good ... I don't remember them canceling a flight I was on unless it was weather related. Took me almost 24 hours to get to Seattle one time, but that wasn't typical. Sounds like it's degraded a lot in the past few years.

The Dallas area has been hammered most of the day by

Looks like I won’t be there tomorrow, after all.

severe thunderstorms and high winds. Be thankful they cancelled your flight, might not have ended well otherwise.
