Often a hermaphrodite will have a rudimentary penis to go with a smaller female appearing external genitalia. Testicles may be retained internally. I think there can be a lot of variation in how the condition presents itself. There is ZERO doubt that elevated testosterone levels are a huge advantage to female athletes.I believe female genitalia, but with a Y chromosome. So a lady down there, but acts like a man. So maybe the perfect women?

Seriously, those Olympic contestants have really been dealt a tough hand. My problem is with their countries and handlers who are exploiting them. I can only imagine what they’ve gone through psychologically.

That said, life is tough and sometimes we HAVE to say no. It’s horribly unfair to the other contestants.
There is a way other than pregnancy to prevent the monthly. It’s also true that highly trained female athletes sometimes to often quit menstruating.
There’s that but physiologically a woman can stay on birth control pills for varying lengths of time so that they don’t experience their period at inopportune times. A post grad level physiology prof I had back in the day made sure to emphasize that point to his female students. He was a despicable gray haired hound dog who was notorious for picking a “favorite” girl in each class.
