Olu Fashanu announces...

I can't like this enough!
I hope he heals up enough to play in the Rose Bowl.
Im sure there were others, but this feels like the biggest "return" from to school announcement in the Franklin era. 1st round talent at such an important position.
All the signs and talk in the past few weeks were that he was returning. I hesitated to reference this, as I've seen similar situations where the announcement was the opposite of the signs and talk.
Got to feel sorry for the BWICAC......all this good news.....10-2, NY6, top draft picks staying to play for James Franklin another year.......
I heard that his parents place a premium on education. Bless them!
Manny Diaz just re-Tweeted Olu's announcement as well fwiw. Hope he sticks around for a while too.🫰
Nothing but positive comments and you gotta start your crap. You are a real troll.
This is huge. PSU has been on the wrong end of these decisions a few times. Next year’s team has a chance to be special.
I heard on one of the PSU podcasts that he's only 19 or maybe recently turned 20 years old. It's not unusual to hear about athletes entering their freshman year in college at 19 these days- comparatively, he's a young man. As was mentioned, I had also heard that getting the degree was important to the family.
If true I would imagine that these were both big factors in his decision.

Hopefully it pays off for PSU and him like it did for Dotson..a win, win.
Stung a little didn't it. What's the matter.....***** and moan meeting postponed?
Didn’t sting. You just come on here to stir up crap. There wasn’t a single comment that was negative but you couldn’t help your pathetic self and just had to start. If you were half as terrible as a coach as you are a poster I hope you were fired in your first season. Troll.
I was just thinking that ... the depth and experience returning not just for the oline but whole team is really good. Entire starting oline can return and have depth and experience everywhere. Add in top notch oline recuits coming in and this team is going to be solid in the oline for awhile.
2 years ago ... Dotson, was a big one too
and how could you forget, one year ago, Clif!!!!!
LOL the stadium bears my name. The comment should have rolled off your back .....unless it hit a bullseye.
Nice news! I’m pretty fired up for next year!
That said, it would be a little more enjoyable without the verbal slap fight chewing up space in this thread.

I would doubt that... Many had him going as the top olinemen in the draft and some drafts had him being a top 10 pick. Sounds like his parents are huge believers in education and that was the underlying driving force that kept him at PSU.
Really hoping Scruggs comes back. Thought he was the glue that held this line together.
Maybe we can have Pinegar take the snap, and Olu toss him over and through the goal post on field goal attempts
Obviously great news for the program, but I still think it could be a bad decision for the kid ... depending on what his actual NFL draft outlook would be. If he was eyed as a sure-fire top of the 1st round pick, he should have gone. His life would be set from that point forward. He could work on his degree while playing, or after hanging it up, and go on to be whatever he wants to be post-football without worry for money. The risk coming back? A serious injury, or some other change in his draft outlook which takes away tens of millions of guaranteed money. Tens of millions guaranteed is the only time I'd advocate for someone foregoing (temporarily) education for a chance to succeed in a violent, injury-plagued sport.
That said, it'll be nice watching him creating holes for the RBs and protecting Allar.
