We really need the **** to finally hit the fan in this country so we can deal with our real problems ($28 Trillion National Debt), and quit making **** that absolutely does not matter seem important.

I get it after reading the article. The company is going to protect itself. It’s a pretty big HR violation that could go south in a couple different directions.
I feel bad for her. Just out having a good time. and her life potentially gets ruined.
Other than grinding on a married man, she didn’t necessarily do anything wrong, but she works for a marketing firm and put a client in an embarrassing position. That’s risky to say the least. Certainly urban wasn’t objecting, but at the end of the day, he (or the company he is part owner in) is cutting the checks and he’s not going to lose his position as a client.
plus, it seems pretty clear from the quotes they’re just buying time and waiting for things to blow over. If clients don’t care once it’s out of the new cycle, I doubt she’s going to lose her job. Hell, she’ll probably be sought out by creepy old men with marketing dollars to spend.

At will employment. Private businesses can do what they want including firing people or cancelling people. These entities are private businesses. They have that power. These things do give people who disagree more opportunities to complain on social media about snowflakes and private businesses, people and organizations with the power to fire and cancel others. This is the world we live in now. The powerless complain on social media. The powerful act and others notice that their livelihoods are on the line if they don't play along with the new moral and ethical rules imposed on us.
