In case you missed it, the Webbles are 10-1, 7-1 in the SEC and 4-1 on the SEC road since we swept them in Oxford. They even whipped USM in that stretch.

I don't point this out to pimp our rival, just to say that baseball really is a streaky game. If you've got the basics in terms of talent and fundamentals and coaching, you've got a chance to get on a hot/lucky streak.

We haven't played like a Top 5 team on the season overall, but we're not far from it and the schedule lays out in a way where we can still prove ourselves worthy of a high seed.

Baseball players, in general, are the cringiest athletes by a mile. I cheer for my team and watch the sport but have a really hard time with all the faggitry on baseball diamonds. I thought it was fine, and a bit humorous, for that one post-season run (what, 3-4 weeks left of play?). Trying to stretch it into subsequent seasons and different teams, was a banana too far.

Also spent a season watching reserves shoot fake bow and arrow at opposing batters…probably couldn’t get away with that anymore, but even if you could it’s no better than the booger eating.
