I find it hard to believe that 350K number. It might be but a state that is only 2.9 million with other games going on and the largest counties are all 2 hours plus away and the heat. If true explain it to a simple person. Just think of the stink from all that BO packed in that small space.

I worked with a guy years ago that had to be restrained by campus police the first time Tuberville came back to campus. He and some others waited around after the game and the guy literally attacked the vehicle that Tuberville and his family were riding in after the game.
And the saddest part is that he was applauded by the fans that were there and he very proud of his actions.
Its NEVER that serious.

in an effort to offend more, my honest assessment of the grove is that it is like the neshoba county fair in that it is either dusty and miserable or muddy and miserable. I've never understood the affinity for either.

Yeah...this is nonsense. Among my most memorable great experiences as a state fan is going to Oxford and witnessing a state victory. Few things on earth are better.

The 350K number is total nonsense.

Oxford / OM only have 35K combined.
Lafayette County proper has another 25K.

Stadium holds 60K, at least 1/3 of which will be overlap with the students and city/county general population.

So, 60K total in Oxford / Lafayette County as full-time residents. Another 40K in the stadium from further outside of town. That’s 100K total, right there.

So, you’re telling me there are going to be 250,000 people that are both coming into Oxford for at least one overnight stay, and NOT going to the football game? Total BS.

Me and Mrs. Salty were invited by some of her work colleagues to attend a large tailgate party in Oxford today. My wife told them you know damn well my husband won't come near that place and if he did he'd wear purple and gold just to piss yall off. They've been asking all week and yesterday her boss finally told them to quit asking because "I know her husband and he hates all things Ole Miss". Made me damn proud.
