That's a 2.5 point swing towards Ole Miss from where it was the middle of last week...

Vegas has faith in getting the money even on both sides. That said, as has been said here before, these are two **** teams playing each other and anything can happen in those circumstances. From a gambling perspective it's a virtual pickem: you might as well take the money line if you believe in one team more.

I hear you, but we’re 2-6 ATS against P5 teams this year. That’s after we had a season win total on some books of 8.5 this summer.

That open is from some BS offshore outfit. The consensus from the real books is us around -3

If I'm understanding that correctly, the line has swung from Ole Miss -1 to State -2.5.

The Open (defined "Consists of the first betting line received from one of our Las Vegas or Global sportsbooks.") was Ole Miss -1. The VI Consensus (defined "Consists of the current betting line which occurs most frequently among our list of Las Vegas and Global sportsbooks.") has Mississippi State -2.5. But the one opening line could have been an outlier of course.

Be very wary of line moves so early because limits are low and they are often false moves to get a better number when the limits come off.
