I don’t know what they are doing up there in regards to youth baseball, but it’s working. Players from that place all over this CWS. Arkansas has made a living on those players, and apparently Oklahoma does too.

Olathe is a suburb of Kansas City. My guess is that there's a ton of youth league and travel ball there.

Correct. There is also a metric ton of money there. ETA: median household income as of 2020 was roughly $95k. Wealthiest city in the state by far.

Seems like Arkansas gets 1-2 from there every year. If Kansas or Missouri could keep some of their talent home they might actually develop decent baseball programs but they don't really seem to try.

Missouri State has done very well thanks to their partnership with the Springfield Cardinals but you’re right in that Missouri and the Kansas schools should invest more.
