We really need to keep Raiola here for 3 years and develop a guy behind him. The whole portal Qb thing looks less attractive to me now. Maybe run a system that involves more QB run game and develop QBs. That Kienholz kid at OSU would have been nice to have on the roster.
Portal is a bandaid. You can fill gaps with it but if you try to build a program with it, it won’t work. It just hasn’t been a thing long enough for anyone to see that yet. All people see is single year success with the portal and get jealous. But you can’t be successful long term turning over your roster year after year.

How about you not let them beat you on your own field Ryan.
Yeah I've never been a fan of planting the flag on an opponents logo. But if you don't want that to happen? Don't lose to your rival at home. Especially when you lose when you have everything to play for and your rival is playing for nothing but pride. Hats off to Michigan today

With their billion dollar NIL fund and top transfer QB is tied with Michigan. Opening kickoff of second half their returner mishandled the kick and got buried at the 6.

Ryan Day will be available shortly. New DC for us ? tOSU won’t put up with this loss.

So Ryan day condones a post game brawl after they got their *** beat? Real classy. It’s a flag plant. Texas and Oregon did it to Michigan this year. You know who didn’t start a fight?

They have multiple highly regarded recruits on their roster and Howard was the best they could put out there? The kid from South Dakota originally committed to Washington is 5 th team. 🤔
Sometimes coaches see differently than fans, must get clouded vision when evaluating talent. ;)

All the while, the hysterical ninny’s from Iowa are clutching the pearls over a ******* hand shake.

I think it's time for everyone to realize that QB play in general is trending downward in a major way. No one stays in one place to develop and grow. They take their flaws and move somewhere that pays them so much they have to play, warts and all. No such thing as a good backup, they all leave too. It's bad everywhere.
It would be a great time to install Tom Osborne's offense

Day is basically their current version of Cooper. Normally beat the teams you're supposed to, Lose to Michigan and any other Big Time game.

Then Whine about it.

Agree mostly. Would say that Day is about 10-15% better than Cooper IMO. And I’ll take another 10-15% reduction in OSU’s production. (That rhymes btw 😀) Otherwise your comparison is pretty spot on.

Ohio St currently has the #1 ranked recruiting class for next year. Do they really move on from Day when he likely still makes the CFB playoff?

I doubt they'll move on from Day. But the calls for his head are getting louder. On that note reading the OSU fan meltdowns on the forums today is pretty funny. Maybe the most entitled fanbase of all of sports losing their ****... lol

I’ll believe it when I see it.
At a minimum they will let him have their run through the playoffs. Winning it all would cure a lot of things for Day.

They dropped the ball today, actually Howard threw 2 bad int's, but OSU is not gonna be an easy out for anybody.

At #2 and having lost only to #1, not including a 3 pt loss today, they will be in the playoffs, and deserve to be.
Not an OSU fan here at all, just realistic.

Well, Ohio State did go on the road and lose by 1 point to #1 Oregon.
Other than Ohio State, PSU beat everyone on their schedule.

I do recall a BIG team winning the national championship in recent years......

I hope they do it and hire their next John Cooper.
Odds are that their next HC will be from Ohio. I read that all of their native Ohioan HC - going back to Woody Hayes in the early 1950s - have winning records against Michigan and all of their NCs. The only two flops as HC - since WW2 have been Cooper from Tenn) and Day (New England). Urban, Tressel, Woody and even Earle Bruce had winning records against Michigan with Tressel (10-1) and Urban (7-0) absolutely smoking them. OSU was Day's 1st HC position which is a somewhat gamble - especially at a traditional power like OSU.

Look for Ohioan Mike Vrabel to be the next OSU HC. His name has been thrown around a lot lately by the main (NIL) OSU people in charge

Vrabel has been rumored there for over a year.
