How was this team not ranked? To me they clearly looked like the best team in the Big Ten so far and I think should be close to a top ten team.

Their head coach is unreal. Did a great job at Butler and appears to be able to get great play out of the guys on the Buckeyes roster as well.

But at this point, I'm feeling like Purdue is the best team in the conference. We'll see.

After watching them for the last two weeks I realized they are on their way to being the best team in the conference. They just don't miss from downtown since they have at least four guys who can fill it up, and can pound it inside. They took MSU to the woodshed, and I knew we were in for a beatdown when they came to town (I thought we'd lose by 25). The reasons they haven't been ranked is that they weren't ranked to start the season because of getting a new coach, and the people doing the voting rarely consider that a good thing in year one. My guess is they jump to #20, possibly the high teens, after what they did last week (including last night).

They are not better than Purdue and they won't be better than MSU when it matters, but they are probably the 3rd best team in the B1G. Several pre-season publications had picked OSU for 12th-14th in the league. Shows you what the return of an injured stud and one of the best coaches in the league can do.

how can you say they wont be better than msu when it matters with a straight face. They are 1-0 vs them this year and they absolutely torched them.

The amazing thing is Holtmann would most likely still be an assistant at Butler if the Bulldogs head coach did not become ill.

Funny FSU and OSU were lot better than everybody thought.

Still think Purdue is better than OSU. MSU always seems to have mid year slumps and then rallies at the end.

Purdue and MSU will be better when it matters...why? they have been there before and have more experience. OSU undoubtedly is playing extremely well right now but at some point they will hit adversity as we get deeper in the season and in tourney time.

For all the crap about our out of conference schedule, We have now played #3 Purdue, #9 Michigan State twice, #19 Seton Hall, #22 Ohio State and #28 Florida State with # 24 Michigan coming up this Saturday . I would like to know how many teams have done that and their records. This early Big 10 gauntlet has been brutal. Somehow we have to muster up the energy and the heart in these next 2 games to get at least 1 and compete hard in the second. Emotionally and confidence wise that will help us the rest of the way with the other Big 10 matchups. Losing Mike hurts but someone and preferably a few of the guys have to really step up their game.
