Big spread. Anyone jumping on Nebraska to cover?

Fyi, Bama beat TAMU with their third-year HC by 28 a couple weeks ago in a game with a 17.5 point spread.
If I had to bet, I would bet on the Huskers. I think Coach Day and that team feels some gratitude toward everything NU and Coach Frost did with calling for the Big 10 to play football BEFORE it became politically easy to do so. OSU won't run up the score on us. If they win by 24 or more, it will be with our assistance.

Die hard Husker who has seen 440 games in person. That being said....

Rumors were earlier that Ohio State has been practicing all summer. They have 11 potential NFL players on offense. We have a young defense. If this is any better than 56-17 I will be surprised. I'll be surprised if OSU punts. Maybe OSU turns it over 3 or 4 times. Maybe they will watch the film of last year's game and come in unmotivated. Maybe they aren't fired up with no fans and the noon start. I just hope we don't get embarrassed. If we win I will be celebrating for weeks.
Young defense? There’s 6 or 7 starting SR’s. Which is both scary and sad.

Im guessing its going to be an OSU blowout. 70-24. I say this as I don't let myself get too hyped up with Husker football anymore. If it is closer than 70-24 then it's a bonus for me in thinking we are better than I thought.

I'd like the over much more than NU to cover. Just haven't been able to stop OSU going back a long way, they've basically named their score. I don't see what will be so much better about the NU defense this year that we stop OSU.

You could make a case that we score on them a bit, but I have a hard time seeing NU getting to 30 while I could easily see OSU getting to 56+

We can be pals on Twitter but Day is on a title run. I dont see them stopping for any reason.

If Nebraska loses by 17 it’ll be a moral victory, but I don’t think we stay within 28 of the Buckeyes

Ohio State was a national title contender before their season was delayed by six weeks. They're going to be desperate for style points, which means running up the score. I would not be surprised if they keep their foot on the gas regardless of the spread on the scoreboard.

Sadly for them, Nebraska will win. And we will finally see the young genius Scott Frost deliver what was promised when he was hired.

I'm pretty sure that the official odds for this game are not out yet. A little early.

My wish...that is opens at 21.5 and all the crazy Husker fans load up on NU and that line falls to 20.5

If we lost 44-21 I think a lot of people on here would be happy. Especially if it was something like 34-21 entering the 4th quarter. Didn't they beat us like 100-0 last year, and we lost our best defensive players, with no replacements, and one of the best WRs in NU history.

38-0 at halftime

Stadium was pretty much cleared out by the start of the 3rd qtr

I had never experienced that in Memorial stadium

I actually think NU has a chance of upsetting OSU this early in the season. Yes, it's a longshot but I believe it's better to play a team of this caliber early than later in the schedule once they get everything rolling. 28-21 OSU but an upset could happen

Missouri 08. I was there, and we all cleared out by half to go party our sorrows away instead.
