*****Ohio St vs Iowa Game Thread*****

[WestCoastHawkI]

I was prepping some pizza dough for the Seahawks win later today and missed the first quarter. What happened to McCabe?

[airhawk]

is score wrong?

It was earlier. Idaho/Ohio/Iowa hawks.

[AFM22]

Keep them out of transition

Ya they’re trying to make it a track meet

[DTP2]

I think an OSU three will be downgraded to a 2 point shot

so, the 28 you see will soon be 27

ok I thought first basket was clearly two.

[Whtnhawk]

McCabe in street clothes putting on a happy face for her teammates. How do you not love that kid?

Is she on crutches?

Knee injury

Non contact knee injury in the first 15 seconds. Out for the game. That’s all we know.

non contact left knee injury

[Denmar]

2 missed FTs from Layla

Ughhhh

She’s struggling in B1G play with quicker more athletic posts. Just a freshman but she needs some big time development.

[Franisdaman]

Deal already with 11 points

[Franisdaman]

Stremlow for 3!!!

[Franisdaman]

Chit Chat for 3!!!!!!!!

44-29, IOWA

TIME OUT, Ohio State!

[Tenacious E_rivals41982]

Hell yes we are sharing and shooting the rock!

[WestCoastHawkI]

non contact left knee injury

Gut wrenching. Hate for that to happen to a senior.

[Hawk48]

ChitChat is the bomb and a really good player

[Hawksfor3]

27-10 Iowa up in rebounds.

[Franisdaman]

Deal with the drive

now with 13 pts

6-8 FGs.

[kwik44]

We are machine!

she hasn't missed a call!!!

[BubsFinn]

Is it safe to say there is no such thing as a comfortable lead anymore?

[Franisdaman]

Fantastic first half!

IOWA leads at the half, 48-32.

Deal with 13 pts; Hannah with 10; Ava and Stremlow with 8; Kylie with 6.

Iowa is shooting 58% overall and 42% from 3.

[RoseBowlorBust]

Fantastic first half!

[AFM22]

16 points at half is far better than I could have expected. Hopefully Deal can make it to the finish line.

agreed long way to go

[Jonesy5960]

Nearly a perfect half of basketball.

[Buffalo43]

Really like our 4 guards all playing at high level

[AFM22]

Is it safe to say there is no such thing as a comfortable lead anymore?

Especially if their 3s start hitting.

[Hawk48]

chitchat's ball handling and breaking the press is very impressive

[DTP2]

Wonderful. Only nitpick is a few forced passes.

[UpstreamHawkeye]

On the layup by Deal, Chit-Chat really forced her to get into the 6th gear to be able to get the pass

[Andrewrayhons]

Hate to see Taylor M with the injury. You could see her frustration instantly she knew it wasn't good.

I think people need to realize that these are all very good teams that can go on huge runs, just like Iowa did in this first half.

[RoseBowlorBust]

Keep this rolling and a 1 seed is achievable!

Pretty sure Maryland came down from 15 or 16 on another team this season and ended up winning. They’re a strongly coached team.

[Franisdaman]

Iowa has 9 turnovers so far (my only complaint)

She's a press breaker. No idea why she was not in the backcourt to start the game when they got that first turnover.

Feels like they’re selling out to cut off Hannah, Ava, Layla leaving the midrange and 3 open.

That was a CC22 pass from CCW right there.
