Played like the team that was a failed 2 point conversion from losing to a bad Mich. St team, lost to Penn St, and had to go to overtime (at home I think) to beat what now looks like a little better than average Michigan team in 3 of their last 5 games. Finish 2nd in their conference. Put a different school jersey on them, not sure they get in.

This year's playoff was unnecessary. All the debating on who should or should not be in.....I think everyone knew it was Clemson vs. Alabama. They are the two best. Dabo is one HELL of a coach. Seems like a genuine guy, too.

And seriously, would it have been any worse if instead of Ohio State or Washington it was Western Michigan???

Probably correct, just didn't like the selection of a team playing poorly 3 of their last 5 games and finished second in a conference that now appears to be questionable in strength. 2-8 ( in bowls, I think ).

Put a different jersey on them and I'm positive they wouldn't have gotten in.

Maybe they should require a team to at least PLAY in its conference title game before being eligible for the national playoffs. That doesn't seem to be too high a requirement.
At least that way, if Alabama loses in the SEC title game, you could justify putting them in the national title game better than an Ohio State team that didn't even qualify for its league playoff game.

Outrageous!

Blue Jackets are making up for it though, they are on fire! They are coming up on the Pens 92-93 regular season consecutive 17 wins record. I think only 2 away now, maybe just 1. I'm not sure, but they are playing great hockey. Thankfully, the Pens are playing pretty damn good and also had a remarkable December.

The Metro is a monster this year, toughest division.

100% the toughest division in hockey...and I love it. They are all still gunning for our boys however and they are finding a way night after night it seems, although this 3rd period comeback nonsense wears on my patience and heart from time to time lol...

They didn't belong fo sho
This will be the cry of the Monday morning pundits, game outcome proves that a non conference champ doesn't belong in the playoff. If you can't take care of business in the regular season, why do you think they will do it post season?

Just because the decision to put the 3rd place conference team in the playoff seemed wrong to anyone who follows college football does not mean that that the unbiased selection committee would supersede the interests of espn and tofu alumni like "herb street" and do the right thing.

Just my $0.02, and that may be Waaay over valued:

Having watched the Orange and Fiesta, I think Michigan was BETTER than Ohio State. However the best in the B1G were so slooooooow compared to FSU and Clemson. I think IRAN gets destroyed by USC in the Rose.

Washington was also underrated. In 2017, they may be the school to beat, provided they can beat USC.

I'm not making predictions on the title game between BAMA and Clemson. It will take me to 2017 week 1 to recover from how baaaaaad my bowl picks have been.

Right. The College Football Pretzel committee will continue to pick the teams that ESPN thinks will draw the best ratings till people stop watching the games and the ratings go down. Which may be never.

Reality check...there is no D1 "playoff". The whole thing is a sports business money making farce. It is like a giant popularity contest for the elite. If WVU wins the Big 12-2=10 someday and gets left out...can you imagine the outcry on forums like this? Of course it wouldn't matter to big city based sports executives. Who cares at this point who wins this NC claim?
