Let's be honest for a second.......aside Iowa State and Baylor (and maybe TCU, in spite of the author's claim), is anyone more tied to the Big XII's future than WVU ???

It would be hilarious if Texas would join the SEC and be placed in the same division as A&M. A&M would be like.. Seriously??

Texas will go out are their own. They are one of the few schools that can afford to do so besides ND.

I honestly have no idea what will happen, but Texas administrators are smart enough to know they wield much more influence in the Big 12 then they ever will in the SEC, the Big 10, or the PAC 12. Duke and NC will always rule the ACC. Texas will be 3rd or 4th fiddle at best in any other conference.

Had a similar experience of note...

....after warnings of pending painful contractions we ended up gaining a new member of the family.

Whatever gets us through till the Virginia Tech game.
Recycling fake news about the Big 12 might do it.

It's only fake news to Big12 homers. Everyone in America knows the the Big East an so the Big12 are the conferences in recent history that consistantly get raided. I don't have to give you a conference migration history lesson do I?

Neither have been relevant for the past 15 years. But both have the cash to stay single if need be.

Didn't ND recently play for the National Title. But let me State the obvious! ND will always be ND. One of the true kings of all sport. Only a fool would not concede that. I hate ND! The only time I root for Penn State is when they play ND. But not recognizing ND stature is foolish. Texas is regional. Possible some In the West care but nothing more. LOL at Texas in the Northeast and Southwest.

2012 last BCS game before the playoffs started Alabama 42-ND 14 - Did ND really play?

Texas beat USC 41-38 to win the title in 2006 BCS game.

I guess ND has been relevant due to title loss in 2012 and 1 year of a chance at playoffs. The loss to Stanford in season final cost them a spot in 2015.

Just sayin it's pretty clear that ND is without question a National draw. No one gives a crap about Texas. For sure they have as much or more money than most. But Texas going independent? They're smarter than that!

ND has the tv contract with NBC which they have had for years. NBC keeps renewing it. Texas has the floundering Longhorn network which espn would love to dump if they could. The fact that ND has its own tv contract is proof enough that ND>Texas.

Better brush up on your math skills Texas won the national championship in 2005 which wasn't quite 15 years ago.

It's called rounding the numbers. When you graduate high school, or should I say if you graduate, then maybe you can get lucky and attend WV. State
