I saw an interview with Armie Hammer where he said that he had accepted the role of Batman, but due to writing issues, it never panned out. He would’ve been a much better choice.

That looks terrible.

Incredible how badly WB bungled Justice League.

Lol it was a 50 second clip that does nothing but show Batman in the dark. I’m not a comic book fan but I’m not real sure how to really have a good or bad take based on that.

That’s what you don’t understand. You have to just come out with a very demonstrative opinion on something even though you have absolutely zero information. It’s the secret sauce to be a proper message board douche.

That was the Justice League Mortal movie. It sounded like pretty much what we got but the action would have been better because of Miller.

It was George Miller's Justice League. It went under due to the writers strike. It would have been interesting at least. I love Mad Max so to have that director create the Justice League might have been great.

Probably a Marvel fan upset that the Clown was sent in to steal their thunder last year.

His face is too recognizable and the cowl exposes too much of it. He probably would have made a decent Robin instead.

The two things I've seen Pattinson in, he's been pretty badass. "Good Time" and "The Lighthouse".

ETA: Good Time is on Netflix and is definitely worth a watch.

Seems like it's you that's offended over Batman not this "*****" generation.

I wasn’t referring to the movie at all. I was referring to how Batman looks. That should have been obvious.

How did you feel when Heath Ledger of 10 things I hate about you and Brokeback Mountain was cast as Joker? Chill the 17 out. Everybody’s a whiny-*** cynical ***** now

What about the dorky-*** pushover ***** of a dad from Malcolm in the Middle playing one of the most bad *** characters of all time? It’s acting. They get paid to pretend to be someone they aren’t.

Imagine being a grown man and having a strong opinion on movies about comic books.

It looks fine to me. If the script and direction aren't good it won't matter what the costumes look like anyway.

Because 165 lb. Pale emo Robert 17ing Pattinson is Batman. That’s all anyone needs to know to formulate an opinion that this will be ****.

George Clooney, all 5'11 and 170# of him played Batman.
Michael Keaton is maybe 5'10 and was what- probably 160-170# back in the day?

None of them are bulked up guys. Toby 17ing Maguire was Spiderman too.

Its almost as if not all actors need to be ripped to play superheroes.
Squeeze me into a suit that has abs imprinted on it and suddenly I look like Im ripped.

He will do fine if the writing is there. Most folks haven't seen him in anything but Twilight and are ashamed to admit they watched those movies. Any of these Bat movies depend on the writing more than anything because the stories have been put on screen so many times. I have enjoyed watching all of them except the Clooney and Kilmer versions.

I'm more interested in seeing Morbius because of the Sinister Six implications.

Should it have been obvious. You said that looks terrible and then said it’s incredible how bad WB messed up justice league.

So, saying the preview looks terrible and then talking about a terrible movie should lead me to believe you were talking about the costume. Maybe you’re just a bad communicator.

I guess it's too much to ask that Batman be an American born guy

That is about 70th in importance for me. If he has a Brit accent, then thatd be odd and I would think it isnt ideal because it would be noticable. If he plays the character with a US/regionalized accent, then oh 17ing well it wont be a concern because it wont pull me out of the experience.

Do you realize that Euro actors are in a lot of shows and movies while playing American characters? And viceversa. Whats crazy is how many Euro actors play British actors for American audiences.

So much to complain about when so much is scrutinized.

Well, the fact that the video showed absolutely no footage of the film should have made it obvious. Labeling it as a preview is incorrect. It’s a “first look” at Batman.

For whatever reason, Batman has never really been cast properly. Keaton wasn't a great cast for Batman but the Batman movies he was in were great. Clooney was a joke. The closest thing we've gotten to a legit Batman was Ben Affleck. I was skeptical of Affleck at first but when I saw their "first look" with him as Batman I got on board. He looked badass and played both Batman and Bruce very well.

I liked Affleck a lot as well. Disappointed that didn’t work out.
