Rewatching the game and noticed there were several times when Iowa drew a Minnesota player into the neutral zone with a hard count or motion then allowed them to get back onsides before they snapped it. I'm just curious if Kirk has ever been asked about it?
I'm not expecting him to let Gronowski go full Rodgers and throw go balls everytime they get a free play, but I don't get the logic of not coaching (and I'm assuming it's coaching) the linemen to not make contact/react when the defender crosses over. For a ball control, grind it out team that needs to stay ahead of the chains I'd think they'd take a free five yards.
