I know this will be an unpopular opinion, but there are at least 8-10 instances in a game that don't involve officiating calls, that impact the outcome of the game. I always hate the default excuse of "the officials robbed us from winning that game." Yes there are some calls that are not correct, but they're not the ones missing shots or turning the ball over.
End of game Michigan is an example, as Rutgers settled for trying to take a tough 3, instead of trying to go inside and get the 2, then put Michigan back on the line to extend the game. High risk, high reward.
And to pre-empt all the backlash..I'm not an official..nor am I Patriots fan.
