First half was worse. Refs made sure to stop the momentum after they had to call the foul on Doorson being dragged to the ground. Immediate cheap foul and another one absurd one right after no where near the ball after we already had the rebound

Par for the course for Rutgers basketball. We will always have to play 8 on 5, will make it that much sweeter when we finally win something

that call away from the RU rebound ( on Eugene?)
was a real momentum changer....we were cutting into the lead at that point and a basket there would
have been big....instead, they got two foul shots.

Nothing seems to change. The first 5 fouls in the game were all called against RU. Four were ticky tack. Every time the ball went to Ward they called a foul. At one point MS had shot 12 foul shots and we had 2. I believe at least 4 walks were not called on MS. It was really very obvious.

Right after our 6 point play, we were down I think 7 and the crowd was loud and we had the rebound about to have a break away dunk that would have blown the roof of the RAC onto Staten Island and the refs called an off ball foul on Thiam getting killed on a screen on the opposite side of the court.

The bottom line is this: Until we become really good and a regular NCAA team, we're not going to get the calls. We're just not. If we see it, you know Pike and his coaches see the same thing. We just have to push through it and win. It sucks right now, but this will soon change.

I think we beat UM one out of five times we play them. Any chance of last night being that night was gone with the officiating.

Lol, my wife was asking me during the game why 44 (Ward) was always rolling around on the ground after his shots. All RU had to do was look at that guy and refs blew the whistle.

I was just going to post this exact thought. I believe next years RU will start getting calls at home. There is a slight chance if they continue to play well it could happen towards the end of this year....we will see...

this may be the case, it is hard to take the human element out of it....I guess all coach can do, if he decides to do it, is complain to the B1G, ask them to review tapes....if they think something is wrong they call the officials in....

they can't fix what has happened, but can hope to prevent it in the future

the coach of MSU is a big time coach, and all the officials probably respect him more than our coach.....Pike will have to make his voice heard, loud and clear during the games, which I am sure he has been doing.....

I do envision a time when Pike will have some status in the league as a coach....it will take us winning games that count that are not expected, and we play without foul controversy

as time goes on, Pike may get there, calls become more fair

Thiam. Horrific call - plain and simple. Game ender.

HEY Z MAN!

I watched the replay of the rebound, and the Thiam scuffle was kind of in the backround, so it was not clear exactly what happened....like most, I was watching the action under the basket as it happened....anyway there was action going on with Thiam, arms being waved.....hard to tell

in retrospect, with the Thiam and the other guy so far from the rebound, contact should have been avoided.

It was at a key point in the game, far from the ball, and had no impact on the action. DONT BLOW YOUR WHISTLE. If you need to, double T it and Rutgers ball.

I was at the game and of course paying no attention to the area in which the foul was called. I doubt there was anything egregious going on, but if there were call a technical not a common foul in that situation. It was really ridiculous. The ref took over the game.

Hey Wheeze!

Replay available on BTN app. Best I can offer is the ref couldn’t bear the 6 pt play and all the RU glee that ensued. Immediate fouls on Eug and Thiam. The Thiam foul ended the game.

On replay, it looked like Thiam saw we got possession and turned upcourt. His defender stopped in front of him, forcing him to go toward the sideline, then another defender stepped into that gap. Thiam got sandwiched between them and, they shifted to not let him through. It was like a sideline trap, but he didn't have the ball.

Same crew last year, Courtney Green in the Quarterfinal game against Purdue, Courtney Green in the regular season game against Purdue, Lewis Garrison loss to Hartford, Courtney Green Stony Brook, MSU 62-52, 26-26 at half @ home TV Teddy and Courtney Green, FSU the other 2 refs from tonight Lewis Garrison and Scirotto. See a trend.

How about Garrison on this...

I kinda like Courtney Green..... off the court, not too shabby...
