I posted this on HOB and I thought I might as well post it here, as well. As a member and section leader in Committee of 101, I have, on occasion, tried to help board members with tickets, and have met several of you at games. When available, I have put some of you into lower level seats. Met many of you and lots of great Cat fans, while working Sec 13-14 at Rupp. I have decided to pack away my blue jacket and call it a day. While supervising ushers for many of my 30 years in the club, both football and basketball, I can tell you that when you attend one of the games, take time to thank the usher working your section. They donate a lot of time and effort to make your game experience better. I suppose I will miss it some, but everything has its time, and I want to spend my autumns playing golf, attending grandson's football games, and traveling. When I first joined, Eddie Sutton was coaching. It's been a long ride and a fun one, but all things must end. I just wanted those who come by to see me at basketball games, that I will no longer be there. However, I will still be a "non-working" member, in the club, and Ben101er on here.

Did the let down of this season have anything to do with it?

Enjoy your retirement

lol. No, if that was it, I would have left long ago, since I have suffered through the probation, and then CBG. This was a great year, just not quite the ending we all wanted.

Thanks for your work with the 101 Club Ben. I was in the club my last 2 years in Lexington after waiting 4 years to get in. That is one thing I really miss about Lexington, the 101 Club. What a great bunch of people!

Good luck to you in your retirement. Even though being an usher for UK games had to be a great experience, it comes a time when other priorities take center stage. I don't blame you for wanting to do the things you want to do. Enjoy it.
