Its not possible for us to disagree politically, I am not into politics, because it's just another thing to get upset at and between UK basketball and my job, I have enough stress to deal with. I think all politicians are lying ********.

Well I agree about that lol..... I was basically just meaning that I think we disagreed once where you liked Trump (I think, i could be wrong and I'm sorry if I am) and I hated Trump and thats basically it lol thankfully I can go back to my centrist ways and not give a crap about politics again....

The ole double standard. Hopefully Allen's multiple years after this are better than this year because he and Boston are both terrible basketball players. But I see nothing in either of them that gives me hope that they can be consistent contributors on a good team. Heck, they can't even be consistent contributors on a terrible team starving for someone to step up.
I think both would really improve if they gave it time and stayed several years.IQ didn't do much at all as a freshman but turned into a star the very next season.

pretty close to accurate, nobody on this team is very good.

Agreed.

the “MUH all you Allen lovers are idiots” are dumb tho. They always say “so many losers think Allen is some world beater who will lead us to greatness”. No. Nobody thinks that of Allen. Our gripe and point is Boston, Askew etc all suck just as much as him (if not worse) yet they get a much much longer leash and permission to pretty much do whatever they want while the same doesn’t apply to Allen. The reason seemingly being that Cal has to pamper and keep his promises to these 5 star slack jaws. Thats the issue.

I agree. Both need time and coaching. Neither will give it time. Boston will bail for the G League and Allen will transfer. And I'm not sure they would even get coaching if they stayed anyway. It's just odd to me how people just trash Boston for his mistakes but are completely dismissive of Allen's mistakes. Its almost like people want Boston to fail and Allen to succeed. I would love to see both go on a tear.

First off I just want to say I come in peace. I don’t follow UK that closely but I know the talent is always there. Is it Cal you guys think is the problem? Or just one of those years where nothing seems to go right? As a Tennessee fan we aren’t too happy with the way our team is playing. It’s obvious we were over rated to start the season.
just wanted to hear what y’all thought about this season. Fire away.

even though we disagree politically, I can tell you're intelligent because you explain yourself with logic and reasoning. These loyalists to Cal dont have any logic or reasoning to defend cal this season so all they have are insults.......They are just clowns that instead of taking out anger on the team or coach like a rational person.... they want to take it out on people voicing reality about cal or the team because losing hope is something their tiny brains cant handle

See. This is nice. We also disagree politically but this is a spot on post.

It’s not so much that I’m “political” these days, but more that the insane, violent and inane rhetoric and ideology that comes from the current left (media, celebrities, Mainstream media, socialist politicians etc) is something that needs to be pushed back on.

We have the worst team of my lifetime and I'm not young. Problems too numerous to list and plenty of blame for all. UT is a good team but not top 10 good. Not sure there is a SEC team that is top 10 good.

It’s not that they dismiss Allen’s mistakes, it’s the fact that Allen makes mistakes and gets yanked out of the game while Boston does pretty much the same stuff and plays most of the game despite killing the team with bad shots or turnovers.

Fair enough. It’s odd tho that someone can “hate Trump” but stop caring about it all when an even worse and more deranged individual/ regime (biden-Harris) take the oval office

That’s a different topic tho lol

Why is Cal recruiting such awful shooters? Why is he not able to evaluate talent anymore?

Is it because his recruiting style these days is not to build a cohesive team with longevity but rather cast a wide *** net and scoop up literally any 2nd tier 5 star and 4 star that will sign?

Quickley, Herro and Monk not that long ago. Allen could be that guy next year like IQ his 2nd year unless he keeps passing up shots.

Facebook was cool in like 2006... 😬

Now it’s full of Covid Karen’s and leftists who like to virtue signal and spew SJW garbage.

Oh, and for terrorists to live steam their shooting sprees like the dude did in ChristChurch.
Preach on Frank. But lets have the courage and conviction to finish it. It's also full of weak-minded idol worshipping traitors (ignorance is no defense under the law) who would go along with and amen anything if it got enough facebook likes from peers.

I agree Allen needs to keep taking the quick shots, but he's not going to hit a high percentage of those this season. But once he gets acclimated to getting his shot off quicker, he'll be a problem.

It's all footwork. There are guys like James Harden, Duncan Robinson and Paul George who are no quicker than Allen that find ways to get open looks. If Allen works at it, he can make money in the NBA as well with his size and length.

I agree. The reference to quickness was in catching and shooting though. I wasn't talking about foot speed.

Sorry to hijack the thread but this 2x's.

It's because there is a delusion since the swindling in November that things can get back "to normal". I won't elaborate any longer. The waves of reality will come crashing down soon. The leftwing media can only hide the incompetence for so long. I'm not sure it will take a year.

Arbitrary time lines to support a narrative are fun. Here’s one, since 2009 Cal and kentucky have a winning record against UT by 5+ games.
No narrative intended, 6-4 speaks for itself. And LAST 10 has no arbitrary to it, its the LAST 10. . . with 3 of those being on our home turf. Not sure Im the one trying a little too hard to defend a narrative
